Yes, nothing like a nice diamond bracelet or a Rolex to attract muggers. Slashing big wads of cash will do it as well.

Yes, they do. Mugging is the new (or only) side gig. They also watch ATMs and bank branches. Best to carry zappers, bear spray or non-lethal weapons. Don't wait for an attack. Have your weapon of choice in hand in your pocket in public. If they are under 10 feet away, approaching and looking at you, ACT!

I've worn jewellery for years and never been robbed

Being built like a brick wall with my knuckleduster rings and a chain big enough to serve as a garrotte might just sway them off the idea

Most women's jewelry is fake and the crooks know it. Women who wear real jewelry wear it in places the crooks can't get in.
