How common are school fights and physical violence in your country schools?

Question explains but for context I was wondering how kids (usually of junior high to high school age) fight, and how often they fight in Iran.

In Venezuelan schools, fighting is very common. However please don't think that all Venezuelans or Latin Americans are violent. It's not rare, but it's also not everyone that behaves violently and get into fights all the time. I'm just curious is all.

I went to a very small country high school and I only remember 1 incident where 1 guy punched another for stealing 5 dollars or something like that.

And also, during hunting season it is very common for both student and teacher vehicles to have hunting rifles in view on school property. There has never been 1 incident because of this that I am aware of. 🤷‍♀️

@Abbycado It's not legal it just never was enforced. Again, it is a very small backwoods area, hunting is important in this area for food and prolly no where else could we have got away with it.

I just meant it as an example that there wasn't much violence in our school system.

Pretty common. There were threats of whoopings quite frequently, and one or more fights arranged probably weekly. Many of them didn’t happen because one or both parties “chickened out”. Then many others either happened seemingly spontaneously, or two people would agree to fight somewhere away from skool and both showed up to fight. More often than not, if they were boys, they ended up being fast friends after.

My son has a friend who is a schoolteacher in an urban high school. He says that there are a few teachers that are afraid to come to work and they regularly call in sick. I live in the suburbs and in my town the schools are peaceful.

It was non-existent at the school I went to. Tbh, I grew up in an affluent area, which I do believe contributes to the lack of that somewhat.

france: only for boys in early middle school

It’s probably more common than statistics available to read online. A lot of people are unfortunately scared to report abuse.

Unfortunately, common nowadays in the US due to gun related issues!
