Apparently in the past conscription into military service instilled a sence of civic duty, maturity, and national identity, all the qualities that the rioters and looters lack in France.

Do you think this is the way forward in France instead of giving government handouts to the young people, that give them a lack of purpose in life?

A. I think conscription into military service sounds perfect for the French young people.

B. I don't think conscription into military service is a good idea for the French young people, let them keep rioting and looting and spread the rioting and looting to other countries including the US.

I would be interested to see the ethnicity of those rioting.

I don't know enough about the French context, but if it's anything like the UK, then we need to get rid of the pernicious socialism and permissiveness.

There needs to be expectation and standards in society, not just free handouts. The safety net should not be a comfortable place and should only be a last resort.

We need to support businesses, deregulate, and for the Christsake, get rid of the insane net zero policies. Destroying your industry, assisting foreign powers and impoverishing your population should be rightly called treachery.

Migration needs to be net zero for the next 50 years while we try and sort out the mess already created.

If intelligence services in France did their job last few years, it's time to isolate and to detain all riot promoters and inciters. As punishment I would destroy mosques, suppress Islam and massively lower welfare.
Special police laws which reduce civil freedoms for zones with high immigrant population.

Send the army in and capture a large crowd. Not hard just seal off the area and arrest everyone. Give everyone the maximum sentence no exemptions. Do it once and others won't riot.

Take the gloves off the police, give them a nightstick, and turn them loose on the rioters. Give lawful orders to disperse, and if they don't or fight, use the nightstick and physically arrest them after their hospital stay for ignoring a police order, no questions asked. Stop coddling these troublemakers!
