Let’s start with the obvious. There has NEVER been in the entire history of the human race a pure socialist government. Government is antithetical to socialism. Socialism dictates that all citizens are equal. As soon as you have government, you are giving people authority that makes them superior. No longer socialism. Full stop. Whatever nonsense you attempt to spit and sputter to argue against that fact is pure ignorance. You clearly have no idea what socialism is, let alone how it works. You don’t even understand how OUR government works!
Look at that dumbsh*t meme where Bernie is holding the bread. The person or group controlling the bread is all the proof an intelligent person needs to know that is NOT socialism.
If you’re one of the many dummies who thinks Venezuela or any other country that you THINK was socialist just because your oppressors told you it was, i have a thought experiment for you.
Take that same logic to The People’s Democratic Republic of Korea. They function just like the USA, correct? After all, the US is also a democratic republic. So, same-same. Yes?
Go ahead and mull that over, junior.

[BlackFalcon03]

It's been tried multiple times with similar results because it's a fantasy

[Chazmatazz269]

Nope. It really hasn’t. Just like communism, it has NEVER been done on a large scale. Just because a person or organization calls themselves “socialist”, “communist” or even “capitalist”, that doesn’t mean that’s what they are actually selling. Again, i point you to The People’s Democratic Republic of Korea.
I could also point you to China, where the prevailing party is communist and they’ve controlled China for over 75 years. Yet detractors insist communism has never succeeded anywhere. How do you suppose that is possible?
At some point, with enough reading, you will arrive at the ONE ultimate conclusion that is closest to the truth. Regardless of whatever label you put on it, the rich and powerful always become richer and more powerful while the working class becomes poorer and more downtrodden. That’s exactly what “they” want YOU to continue to protect here, under the guise of “capitalism”.

[BlackFalcon03]

Yes it's been tried multiple times and failed because it doesn't work in the real world.

[Chazmatazz269]

Name ONE.

[Lliam]

Those misleading memes are for people who don't have a clue.

A certain amount of "socialism" is far better than laissez fair economics.

Think about the Standard Oil Trust, mining towns, factories and sweat shops before there were regulatory laws that people now days take for granted.

Things like workplace safety, fair wages and work hours, vacation time, worker protections, unemployment insurance, Social Security, food safety, and anti-Trust laws were all condemned as socialist by capitalists when they were first instituted.
Those same capitalists benefited from socialism for corporations (government money) while campaigning against peoples right and safety laws.

What is wrong with government-funded schools, police, fire fighters, infrastructure, and mass transit?

Democracies like the U. S. and many European countries who had some "socialist" programs thrived until the IMF forced governments to institute "austerity measures" to repay usurious loans to global bankers.

When talking about "socialism", people are brainwashed into picturing oppressive, authoritarian regimes like Stalin's USSR, Pol Pot, and Maoist China. Those aren't examples of socialism.
People point to places like Cuba without realizing that a decades-long economic siege by the U. S. is why Cuba is in misery.

[purplepoppy]

Good. Those memes are completely nonsense. Socialism is about paying a fair wage according to value and not bullying people into accepting shit wages. It's giving workers rights that protects their safety and from exploitation.

America has some of the longest work hours, the lowest employee holidays, and the worst workers rights in the Western world. And that's down to you lot being brainwashed into thinking being treated as human is socialism.

[Iron_Man]

Read what Pterodon said in this question about your socialism.

[Pterodon]

Not true Poppy. The fact is we got to be the richest and most powerful by our work ethics

[Iron_Man]

@Pterodon Good job you came in here

[Pterodon]

Thanks. by the way we go back a few years. You and I were both masters when I had a different account. At one time you were number one on exper points and I was number three. I closed the old account to take a break for awhile. I wonder what level I’d be if I hadn’t closed it as a master. Anyway we always got along and thanks for the compliment

[Iron_Man]

@Pterodon Yes we always did get along and I appreciate your support for the USA 🇺🇸 10 years later, I’m still number 1 on the point standing.

[Pterodon]

You deserve it. Congratulations

[Iron_Man]

@Pterodon Thank you so much, my friend

[FreyaRed]

The only option now. With robotics and AI workforce it's the only option to create consumer market, no matter if the 1% wants it or not.

[BlackFalcon03]

Won't be socialism. Might be a soceity run by AI.

[Pterodon]

Show me where it’s ever worked. I dare you. Do not say Scandinavia. That isn’t socialism it’s just a system of very high taxes paid by everyone and no American will ever agree to be taxed that much. Socialism is distribution of wealth paid by taxing the shit out of whoever is considered wealthy. Where do you get your tax money when they close or move or are no longer wealthy? This is the fatal flaw in your vision.
“The problem with socialism is you’ll eventually run out of other people’s money.”
— Margaret Thatcher

[BlackFalcon03]

Scandinavia has a small population supported by massive amounts of oil and other resources. But yes high taxes. But living standards have dropped there recently

[Chazmatazz269]

Name ONE socialist society, i defy you.

[Pterodon]

Hmmm, Ants 🐜

[Chazmatazz269]

Exactly. It has never been done. You resort to ridiculousness to deflect from the fact that you know nothing about socialism. You’re riding the exact same propaganda train as the people you think you’re fighting against. You’re just in different cars. Do yourself a favor. Read more.

[BlackFalcon03]

@Chazmatazz269 it's been done and failed. That's why none can meet your standard. Every attempt a failure. Maybe AI will give you your perfection utopian soceity

[AngryCarl3]

Ah yes, the "No true Scotsman" argument.

[BlackFalcon03]

@AngryCarl3 yes. They try it. It fails. But it wasn't true socialism. Nothing to do with socislism doesn't work shen its taken from the drawing board.
How about the argument that if you have police and fire then you live in a socialist society but wait national socialist germany had that but they werent socialist because reasons...

[OneViewpoint]

Fascist Germany Fascism 1945,

Fascist Italy Fascism 1945.

Japan Monarchy 1945.

Russia (Leningrad) Fascism 1945.

Spain 1938 Fascism.

[BlackFalcon03]

Very silly pictures. Spain for instance was fascist right up until the 90s. Your picture is Spain under socialism.
Also according to you the Nazis or National Socialist Germany were Socialists.
"Absolutely, and we shouldn't be driving on state created and maintained highways or bridges. We shouldn't buy products that come into state funded harbors and ports. Our military is a communist organization. Our currency is a state created tool to control us. Public education is a communist propaganda tool. And on and on and on."

[OneViewpoint]

Oh shut up moron. Your tired lies and weak arguments have been shot down thousands of times but you keep believing that dark web propaganda. Spain was not Fascist into the 90's. Franco began social and economic reforms in the 60's. The "Spanish Miracle" economic boom happened in the 60's. Franco died in 1975. Juan Carlos immediately implemented political reforms. And Spain never looked back. Do you know anything about anything? Are you a tRump University graduate?

[DryGermanGuy]

That's incorrect, the Spanish Socialists (PSOE) took over the government in 1986 and they were also strong in the years before that.

[BlackFalcon03]

Franco on the 60s was rebuilding Spain after civil war and Europe was rebuilding still after WW2 . Wasn't Spain's economic miracle but Europe's economic recovery. Still a fascist country. Even nazi Germany had universal healthcare, and infrastructure projects.

[BlackFalcon03]

@DryGermanGuy the PSOE took over in 1986 but do you think they automatically stopped being a fascist country overnight, took time to change laws and policies. Socialists in Spain have had a good run but recent failings on immigration, the environment, economy, house prices and failing infrastructure and the lack of addressing those issues rather than pretending they don't exist may see them out

[DryGermanGuy]

The democratisation process took ten to fifteen years, of course. That PSOE support did not develop over night either, that took years as well until the point of the people being willing to vote in the majority for a decidedly left party.

[BlackFalcon03]

@DryGermanGuy well its probably also to give assurances to fascists that were in power that they weren't going to be mass arrested. Was a socialist government but not the far left government that took over Spain during the red scare. Peaceful, stable, democratic.

[Lesbologist]

It's retarded af.

And I already live in a world where some non-working loser owns a better and more cars than me... just living off the system and I get almost half of everything I make taken away to pay them. It's already so damn socialist that I'm going to go ahead and say we're communist. The government hasn't taken over the stores yet so I'm wrong about that... but god damn bro.

She's got 8 kids, no job, a 3 story house and 5 cars... I've seen people that work their entire life and never had that much stuff. Now that our left has invited the entire 3rd world over for some of that...

I see a societal collapse in coming. Just another Dem in office away and it will all come crashing down. And I'm starting to think that maybe that might be a good thing. Let's go ahead and fuck this shit up.

[exitseven]

It is bad. Everywhere it has been tried has been an abject failure.

[BlackFalcon03]

Very true

[Chazmatazz269]

Name ONE society that functioned under pure socialism, i defy you.

[DryGermanGuy]

It's irrelevant, because socialism is not on the political menu. Wanting public healthcare, public education and strong workers' rights, etc. have nothing to do with socialism.

[OneViewpoint]

Our home schooling advocates crack me up. As if the average parent is capable of educating their kids. Or a religious school won't fuck up a kid's brain with Church dogma. Public secular education is the only way to guarantee some minimum level of education across all socio economic levels. Yeah, it's socialism. We pool our resources to make sure all kids receive basic education. Socialism is not a dirty word. It's basic common sense. And way less expensive than an illiterate underclass.

[DryGermanGuy]

Homeschooling is illegal here, I guess our legislators knew why.

[BlackFalcon03]

My wife was homeschooled. Her education is at a higher standard of most high-school graduates. The high school I graduated I was lucky I'm reasonably smart because they taught nothing.

[OneViewpoint]

It sounds like German legislators do a better job in general than our system of extremist Capitalism and unconstrained legalized political bribery. AI, schooling, healthcare. But but but... they're Socialists, Commies, Atheists! And every other triggering label the owners of our political parties can think up. Our home grown morons lap up the hate like thirsty dogs go at a bowl of water.

[OneViewpoint]

@BlackFalcon03,

Yeah yeah yeah, go drink some more Kool-Aid cult boy.

[BlackFalcon03]

@OneViewpoint well if you look at what is being taught and who is elected in areas with failing schools like where I was, its always democrats.
German education standards are at an all time low.

[DryGermanGuy]

German education standards haven't changed much in the last ~50 years and are part of what made Germany the strongest country in Europe. Not that you ever have been near a German school, anyway.

[OneViewpoint]

@DryGermanGuy,

He doesn’t need to be an expert. These people just throw out lies and people like him believe it as truth. That’s the Fascist playbook.

[BlackFalcon03]

Not a lie you check for yourself. German education standards have plummeted over the last ten years but so has Norway's I believe. Norway have come to the conclusion it's to do with the switch over to tablet devices and screens

[DryGermanGuy]

The education *standards* are the same. In some years the students are worse (as shown in their PISA performance) in other years they are better. Still doesn't mean that the standards have changed, if you fail, you fail and maybe even have to repeat the class. And nothing has "plummeted", neither the standards nor the general student performances.

[BlackFalcon03]

Not according to the German government

[DryGermanGuy]

And which German government is that? Because school education is organized by each individual German state on their own.

[NaultD]

It's a moral imperative to tax the rich out of being in the epstein island class.

[jshm2]

LOL, you know nothing of socialism.

Public roads, government infrastructure, police, and fire brigade are direct socialism in action.

Get a clue, dickwad.

[BlackFalcon03]

Those things were all things on existence before socialism was even a concept. Your basically saying everything you think is a good thing is socialism. Are Sydney sweeny's tits socialist too?

[Anonymous]

When it benefits them, MAGA applauds it. When it benefits someone else, the fuckers can't stand it.

[BlackFalcon03]

All comes from taxes. Thr more socialosm the higher the taxes are.

[Agape93]

Good when done right as social programs, not as general policy

[moddy_the_mod]

Socialism is only promoted by losers.

[Pterodon]

Or lazy asses that think they’re getting free government handouts

[loveyouoak]

Good.
