Why is the cat-eye so popular?

Why do girls like to flick the eyeliner at the outer corner of their eyes to create a cat-eye look? What is so attractive about it? Guys, do you find them sexy? I naturally have catlike eyes, meaning the outer corners of my eyes are higher than the inner corners. And I don't like it and can't understand why it is considered pretty that people try to create that effect with makeup.

lol people are really never satisfied with what they have, huh? I have small Asian eyes, that's why I hate cat eye makeup, it makes my eyes look even more smaller. All Asians I know want to have bigger eyes, and you people with big eyes do the cateye makeup to make your eyes look smaller.

It's an exotic look that accentuates the eyes. It's quite attractive, but it shouldn't be a deal-breaker. If you don't like it, then you don't like it, therefore don't put it on. I'm sure you'll find other ways to display your beauty.

A slight cat-eye looks great on me; anything more than a tiny flick makes me look a little strange. It's flattering on a lot of girls and gives the illusion of a thicker (and extended) lash line.

It just makeup that accentuates the eyes. Natural cat eyes aren't accentuated like that makeup so yours likely aren't even noticeable
