Here's a little run down...
We had our work Christmas party on Saturday night.
There's a guy at work who happens to be very good looking, and quite friendly, and boarders on flirty with a couple of us girls.
In the past, he's often complimented me, been quite touchy feely with me, and often invites me to his friend's house parties etc, he even invited me to a music festival in another state that he's going to with a bunch of friends for NYE.
I recently found out that he's casually sleeping with another girl from work.
I'm not really into "casual" relationships, plus I'm a little older, by 3.5 years.
I was interested to see what would happen at the work Christmas party.
We sat at a long table the whole night, we were at opposite ends. He spent the whole time talking to another girl he was sitting next to, who happens to have a boyfriend. He didn't talk to me at all, apart from the very beginning of the night.
He did however glance at me quite often, staring at me sometimes, and we caught eyes a few times...unless I'm imagining things.
We had some group photo's toward the end, and he was standing next to me, so he put his arm around me, but instead of it being around my shoulder or waist, he placed his hand on my LOWER waist, lightly touching my hip bone, quite low down, one of his fingers touching my stomach as well. It kind of took me by surprise. I didn't react or anything, I just continued to pose for the photo. I wasn't uncomfortable with it, I just didn't expect it. Do you think his hand placement meant anything? Or am I just analysing something too much?
Just before we all left, I was standing away from the group, talking on my phone, then I noticed him in a side-hug embrace with the girl that he's in a casual fling with, but his hand wasn't as low on her...but then again, she is shorter than me. As soon as the hug stopped, he turned around to look at me, then came over to me to see what I was doing, but I couldn't talk as I was on a slightly urgent phonecall.
