So the number 1 tennis player in the world has been sent home from Australia , he had a visa , then he didn't have a Visa , he is the number 1 player in the world , he had no vaccination , but he has recovered from Covid 19 . Either he had a Visa or he didn't? But sadly has been sent home - What are your thoughts on this action by Australia? He's actually not " anti vax " he has assisted others , but he refused to be vaccinated to play , all other players had to comply.

Novak is now pursuing legal action against Tennis Australia , the amounts he will be seeking are double the amounts of the winners cheque..

I mean I'm a Nadal fan so if the dude who's got as many grand slams as he does isn't participating I'm happy - Competition wise though he 100% should've been there I get it the law and whatever first of all what's fun in following every rule? He didn't follow the rules and he bared the consequences of that. He didn't have a medical exemption, nor was he vaccinated. He shouldn't have been allowed in the country in the first place.
The whole thing is a shit show. But officially he did not have medical exemption. He was told wrongly by the organization that a previous infection is exemption which was false and they were told that in November.
Sadly thats not true , he had an official exemption all right which was guaranteed by both Tennis Australia , and the Victorian government , sadly it became political , and Federally though border force it was revoked , he could not have boarded the plane without a Visa. Your facts are slightly incorrect , possibly due to NZ bias ( as with both of Australia ) Media.

That he was "number 1" is neither here nor there. Everyone applies for a visa - he didn't apply for his right, and got kicked out as a result. He also lied about his vax status, which didn't help his case any. He wasn't the only player who wasn't vaxed, and they left without drama. Novak really lived up to his Novax name, it seems. But Australia pissed on his picnic and kicked him out, without drama.
Being able to hit a ball with a flat bat does not entitle one to break covid or visa rules. Learn from that.

Like someone said here, he lied. Novak was in Spain, training for the tournament in Australia. How he reach to Spain if the Spanish laws would not aloud him to enter? He went in, illegally with the help of corrupt governamental workers.
Of course he denies many things. The guy is an arrogant asshole.
I think the problem mainly was that he lied on his visa to say he had medical exemption but he doesn't, or at least couldn't prove he does. Tough shit really, they have rules he has to follow them like any other person would just because he is a celebrity doesn't mean he's above the law

I don't know anything about that, and I don't really care. Australia has the right to make their own laws, and you have the duty to follow them while you are there.
USA is fortunately not the only country in the world , as I said in beginning , he left Serbia with what he believed to be a current Visa , now French Open has the same rules , he cannot compete if he refuses vaccination , this is now a fact , he needs to win at least one more major.. Otherwise his fate could be same as Sharapova
Not sure why he bothered going anyway. Don't travel to places with draconian or idiotic rules. Make a stand. Its not like he doesn't have enough money.
I applaud him for refusing the shot. Whoever wins the tournament should have an asterisk next to their name noting that the #1 player wasn't allowed to compete so this guy's win doesn't mean much.
He lied to everyone and put other people at risk. He may be No 1 in the world but that doesn't give him the right to fuck with people like that. He got what he deserved and he's going to have to do some apologizing.

Having a Visa does not permit someone to break the laws of a sovereign nation. The fact he is pursuing legal action will not end well for him.
Please do believe me when I tell you that I do not make a habit of using such disgusting unladylike language, but on this subject I do make an exception to the rule.
