It must be Conor McGregor or Poirer.
I swear. McGregor couldn't even beat boxers due to bad standing guard mechanics, but Poirer can't block a head kick. Then ANOTHER bozo on the same card also got knocked out by a head kick.
A head kick is literally twice as easy to block as a straight punch, because the kick needs to travel twice as far to reach the target.
I had a conversation with a muay thai world champion one time. He had 31KOs and he said only one of them came from a Kick. The rest of his knockouts were from punches and elbow strikes.
there is no excuse for fighters who are allegedly brown belt through allegedly multi-degree black belts getting knocked out by head kicks. If they had sound standing guard mechanics, they should dang near never get hit in the head or body by a kick, and they shouldn't even get hit by punches as often as they do get hit.
Look at the video and stills of Poirer's loss on MSN sports section. His right hand's "standing guard" was down by his waist, and his left hand was late intercepting the kick by like an entire quarter second. No wonder he got knocked right out, and it was not even a combination of strikes. It was literally a one-off kick with no combinations which knocked him out.
Another fighter got knocked out by a flying knee followed by two or three punches in the same card. You mean you cannot even block or dodge ONE freaking attack... but you're supposedly a black belt in a style of martial arts?
Who gives these clowns black belts, and how the hell do they end up in a supposedly World Class league? The black belts i used to BEAT in sparring would embarrass these clowns, much less if I was 20 years old again.
Talk about a McDojo. Whoever trains these UFC and ONE fighters is a McDojo.

I love the guy. He’s probably one of the best shit talkers, but I have to say Nate Diaz. Claims to be the best, but look at his record. Jorge Masvidal was whooping his ass and BMF match. I’m tired of hearing him say he’s just warming up in the third round.
Dude took some classes and thinks he knows stuff lol
yeah. I was trained by ex-marines when they still taught lethal martial arts in the Marine Corps. One of my immediate instructors was a purple heart winner and probably should have gotten the Medal of Honor in Vietnam.
I have around 4000 hours instruction in Isshinryu Karate and Japanese Jiujitsu, another 1000 hours cardio kickboxing, and another year in Gracie Jiujitsu under Professor Raphael Gracie.
My instructor was Mark Meyers, who is max level in Krav Maga and at the time was a 4th degree black belt in isshinryu.
If I was 20 years old again, I'd literally challenge not just one of these clowns, but i'd beat TWO of them in a handicap match. I used to beat Mark's brown and black belts in handicap matches, and they were ex-marines and police officers.
Careful who you mock, kid.
Google Mark Meyers Ole Miss page. The page is already outdated, as it was made before he retired from full time teaching. He is now a 7th degree blackbelt in Isshinryu and even the page says he is "fully certified" in Krav Maga.
The guys I used to BEAT in Handicap matches would themselves fuck up just about ANYBODY in a street fight. They certainly wouldn't get knocked out by some clown in the UFC, at least not a head kick anyway.
Beating some guy who can't block a head kick would be piss easy for me. I might have a numb left hand, but I still have one shot knock-out power in my right hand. My left isn't that much weaker than the right anyway. But if i was 20 years old again, it would be piss easy to beat the likes of connor McGregor or Poirer. I'd even beat the guys who beat them.
As things stand, I'm still going to try to make weight and fight professionally even though I'm really to old to do it now.
Guy, I've beaten professional boxers by boxing rules. I think I know something about standing guard mechanics. I actually beat the local boxing champion. He could hardly lay a hand on me. I was only a light green belt at the time.
