Pro player told me they do, but I thought it was bullshit lol
Do pro basketball/football/volleyball etc. Players get regularly tested by their teams?

i've only played volleyball on a local natioal level but not on a "pro" level (as in i wasn't paid to play volleyball cause there's not a big hype about it in my country). but i met pros and they aren't tested for anything. i mean the only tests that "could" even make sense in this sport are doping tests but then again volleyball is not really a sport where doping would even help you a bunch. cause physicall ability isn't "that" much of a game changer. it's mostly skill and situational awareness which can not be doped.
std tests would be pointless cause it's not a close contact sport and the tests for viruses was only mandatory during corona bullshit times but that was true for everyone not just pro volleyball players.
they get tested for enhancing stuff like hormmones and steroids etc. but not for std
I don't see why you would get tested for std's you're not fucking on the field.
For illnesses like covid/the flu maybe. I'm sure if it is mandatory it would be in a contract you have to sign
Certain std-s can be passed by sharing personal items, or could decrease your performance on the field even though you don't have to fuck there 😂
What personal items would you be sharing that can transfer an std? 🥴
I would assume they do mostly to not pass it to others if they share equipment or personal items

Yes. For safety of everyone. Physical sports involve injuries and exposure to blood is an issue.
A lot of sports have screening, such as for HIV, herpes, blood transmitted types,
