I know first-hand that it does not. I have been tapped out by wrist locks probably several thousand times, and I have tapped out other people hundreds if not thouseands of times.

Of course, they are now off-balance and you have a balance point, so you can now deliver knees to their face or body as they are off-balance and possibly already tapping.

In real grappling, once the structure of the joint is compromised and your balance is broken, that two-hand brace collapses quickly. Good locks attack the whole kinetic chain: wrist, elbow, shoulder, posture, and base. That’s why you get easy taps in live rolling, yet flashy “defenses” look great only on compliant partners. 💪🏻🥋
