Phones and Access to Internet Are a Must for All Kids From the Age of 13.

This is my opinion in the matter over phone, now there are kids in this world that have ipads and iPhones and all types of other gadgets from the time they're really tiny, like really tiny as in 3-6... and i don't necessarily see the necesity in that.

But suddenly when a child turns 10-13 the parents take away the tech and force the kid to start learning how to interact without it..

STUPIDEST BULLSHIT EVER!!

a kid from are 13 should have a phone, and not some dumb shit 2001 Nokia but an actual well functioning phone that can connect to the internet, some adults set that there are disturbing things online I.e. porn. . Yeah I agree but they should discuss this stuff with their kids before hand...

The season I genuinly believe kids from 13 - onwards to forever should have phones is simple, lots of the time they'll be placed in situations where they won't be in their parents sight, where they might and up lost or hungry ...

Let me give you an example, for the past two weeks I haven't had a phone, I'm a 19 y/I girl k

..and I genuinly do not mind not having one but the inconveniences that came with not having one are the things that have prompted me to write this post, I got lost in central city, I got into a bus that claimed to be going to my neighberhood only to find myself lost in the middle of the city , I had no money it was 5pm and everyone was on their way home ...

I'm from east side, which means I dress different and talk different from the people in central city which are (genuinly not trying to sound like a snob ur anything cause in not) ratchet... they legit talk and act ratchet, screaming at the top of their lungs to one another, hooting like maniacs while they drive and so forth...

So I'm like stuck and i keep asking random people if I could use their phone's to call my mom but nothing ...people in the city aren't as friendly as the people in my neighberhood...

Anyways time passed and a woman from church was driving past me when she stopped to greet me then she offered me a lift home... I got home at 8pm and got a long af scolding from my dad on the value of time management.

Sounds like a rant from someone who did not get a smartphone as their birthday present. Haha. I'm just kidding.
Yeah, cell phones are a must once a child hits middle school. It's a tool with lots of useful features for people of all ages. What's required is teaching the goods and the bads. Like, what to use and what to avoid.
I got lost on my way home too one day. I was 13 or 14 and accidentally got on the wrong bus. I noticed that I was in an unfamiliar neighborhood so I got off. It was like 7:30pm in the middle of winter. I could guess approximately where I was, but didn't recognize the street names to find a direct way home; or at least another bus stop. A few buses passed and I just walked in their direction. Finally I saw a familiar bus route and its destination. And it took me home. Got home at 9:30pm with my grandparents nearly crying thinking that I was gone forever. Quite a day (or night). I got a cell phone a few days later.

can't really understand your English well but I think internet from age 13 is fine, but kids don't need a phone. Maybe if they are going to be alone and not close to their parents they can have a normal phone for emergency calls and not a smart phone.

To be honest we lose a lot because of spending too much time on smartphones and internet. My friends stick to their phones when we're together, pull out some crap talk related to them so we lose most of our valuable time to enjoy. Most of them have no moral at all, they've become so dumb. You think most people learn from the internet? No, they spend too much time on useless crap.

But when smartphones are being glued to the face, then that's when it's officially too much.

A telephone is not very useful at that age.

Tbh we're living in the future anyway, kids are on the internet pretty early on and will be. Let teach them to be safe on it
