All online dating apps should have a filter for Height, hair and eye color. I am 6' 3". Seems every time I see a woman I am interested in, she is 5' or less. I did that once and it was awkward. That is just too tiny for me. I need her to be over 5' 2". is seems silly with such a small difference but I think women lie on their height. Because There is a difference.
When I decide to look for a woman, the first think I do on POF is go the search and put in Blonde hair and choose (blue, grey, green) for eye choices and look. about 70% of the women I have ever dated, including my ex wife, had those. If I don't find anything then I go to the others.
And a weight filter too, please. I'm tired of getting tricked by fat chicks with weird angles and not showing their bodies. I'm gonna start swiping left on every chick that doesn't have a pic of her body xD
There's only one reason why anyone ever takes pictures from weird angles, or while lying down fully clothed.
Only if they decide to add a lot of other filters. There are a lot more important things than height plus a lot of the time you can tell through their picture anyway.
Not on Tinder and don't intend on getting on there, but yes, they should... just like a lot of (if not, most or all) dating sites do.
OkStupid (OkCupid) has a height filter. You just have to pay to be able to use it.
Since it's only for hookup I don't think they should

Given I'm 6' this wouldn't really affect me but I'll say why there's no point:
1) Adding too many options like this that can just be asked over text, or seen in person makes the interface clunky.
2) Shorter guys would just lie anyway, if they know they're not getting any matches due to height they'll just lie about it.
As a developer it makes little sense given the above, to be honest.
Good point, lying about height is pretty hard to get away with though if they meet irl lol.
As a really short dude, I'd say yeah, I'd rather be matched with someone that didn't want to filter me out rather than someone that will suddenly stop talking to me because I was honest about my height. Personally, it feels a lot better to not be given false hope which I get when a chat goes well until the height topic comes up. I'd much rather match with 1 out of 10,000 genuine girls rather than 1 out of 10 if those matches weren't going anywhere anyways..
It would shy people away from using Tinder and it would just add automatic judgement to the table. No need for it. What if you had a very compatible match but you never saw them because they were an inch taller/shorter than your preferences. Age is a different story but adding height/weight filters are just so dumb in my opinion. If you are that judgmental of a person then just study their selected pictures and see if they use weird angles or close up photos.
Also, whats the point anyway? You think a fat dude/chick is gonna put in their real weight/height? It is not going to matter. Just like when everyone fakes their age.
I'd benefit from it.
Since height filters are probably more for girls to filter out guys than for guys to filter out girls they should also add a weight filter so it makes it a little more equal.
So yes to height filter but also they need to add a weight filter.
You just asked this question. But I'll say again that it should add that and they should also add a weight filter.
Id take it further i think everyone should be able to up load a fully accurate 3d model of themselves as a premium feature.
I think everyone should be allowed to filter for whatever they want if there to picky they will get no matches.
Also something to lower the noticeability of pepole that spam message and check if all there messages are the same.
Tinder height filter is mandatory! 5ft10 minimum or automatic ban (for men). Manlets should be barred from dating sites in general - their presence there is only a disturbance. It is futile for them obviously. Let them be gross and insecure somewhere else. Manlets are super creepy - just yuck!
If you care so much about height the only swipe people who put it in their bio, or check their full body photos...
See item 1 below:
Yah, a height and weight filter would be nice. And I'd love a filter for shaved trimmed or not shaved.
Well I was goingbto say that they should add a weight filter, but it appears everyone else already said it. 😠
Does it not already have that? It should. Weight and age should also be filters.
Sure. Why not. While they're at it, they should also add a weight filter.
From my experience, they should also add a 'I have a dog' filter. Like 99% of girls my age on Tinder only like guys who have dogs!
When I used Tinder I actually started including pictures of my cute dog, it got me way more matches.
I actually made an account for the dog for fun and I literally could not accept all the matches fast enough.
@DaveDavidson Just as I thought. If only I had a dog, lol.
That would be hilarious.
I would only date midgets.
Yes, it is good as long as it has an "I do not care about weight/height" option for those are rather indifferent on these issues.
How about a cock filter as well. And if guys aren't truthful you could report like ebay - (stay away from this user).
Of course a woman would ask this question. What a surprise.
Only if they also maintain a cup size filter.
Only if a weight filter is added too :]
