Is it wrong to block my coworkers on Instagram?

I don’t really get along/fit in with my coworkers and we’re not close at all.

A few of them have added me on Instagram and I honestly don’t like them seeing my personal life/posts.

I just don’t want them to know they’re blocked because that would be awkward and might seem rude.

As long as they can't know you've blocked them, it's okay to do. I wouldn't want to see posts of someone who I didn't like as a person.

I don't use instagram, so I'm sure sure how it works. I wouldn't block your work colleagues if they could know you've blocked them. It's best to try to tolerate people at work. It makes your working environment a much better place to work

Go ahead and block them. Nothing wrong with keeping work life separate. It's not a social club it's work.

In social media I also steer clear from 'work contacts'. I do not block co-workers, but there seems to be a mutual understanding of keeping things separate.

Many people have hundreds of contacts. Perhaps they will not even notice when you disappear :) Some guys seem to believe that blocking is an act of aggression. If so, just drop a friendly explanation if someone asks?

That’s not the problem. I like to keep my work and personal lives separate. Also my coworkers have been rude and excluded me since I came on board. I hear them talk shit on employees all the time and have caught them doing the same about me. They’ve done the same with the new person who started after me
