Do youtubers work hard?

I rarely watch youtube anymore but i remember when i'd watch a successful youtuber, they'd be like you have to work really hard to have my job. And then its like, how hard is it to make a video for a couple hours then jerk off the rest of the day? Like most of these guys didn't work hard. They got lucky that their videos were featured. Or they're good at editing.

I was watching this youtuber recently, and im not gonna say who it was. But the editing wasn't even good. It was just clips of that person doing stupid shit thats popular. That person wasn't even slightly interesting, it was just that persons reactions to shit.

Some do make an effort: as is the case with those who make crime videos or those who give cooking or psychology tutorials because they make an effort to learn, edit, record and also have to dedicate their time to that since some have jobs. because your money is not enough.

YouTube is just like any other social media. You’re famous simply for people following you. If you have a following you’re famous. And that’s literally it. People can have various different reasons to why they have a following but it’s never because they worked hard and it never becomes hard work. Because it depends on their following.

I think it's a combination of good looks (that is mostly true for girls), luck (being at the right place at the right time), good editing and marketing skills.
Very few of them are actually talented and have charisma
Same goes for Instagrammers and Tiktokers

its just beyond me how someone can be like "you just gotta do what i did." And its like, lots of people do what you do. Luck is such a huge factor when people make it "big." That's why celebs say things like "i caught my first break." A lot of the time it just comes down to pure luck.

It's not always the case. Sometimes people do have a lot of charisma, and they're naturally talented at acting or whatever. But when it comes to youtube, nope. Definitely not.
