What are you thoughts of people posting these things on social media?

I had seen that several people post these kind of things on social media , like to draw attention they can afford to travel, they can afford to do certain things or to enjoy certain things or to have certain things that perhaps other people can't have, afford or enjoy for different reaasons, (lack of money, lack opportunity, lack of resources, etc) Exhibit A: The photo above.

This lady posted on his FB account this photo of her enjoying a good time in a nice fancy hotel or maybe her own house with a pool. As you can read she wrote "God is good"I had seen photos similar like this from different people in similar situation, where these people when something good is happening to them whether it is job related, trips (internationally or local) related, monely related or things that person can afford and buy, they always mention the phrase "God is good", in a way to thank God that they are enjoying those things thanks to God or maybe thanks to their own sacrifice in what they do to finally achieving something they perhaps did not see it possible or that finally a dream came true, or other different situations but always end up with the phrase "God is good".

Then I asked myself Are these people humble? I think not because why they need to post they have money or means enough to enjoy something that others can't? Why the necessity to brag or rub in other people faces and publickly posting those photos and implying "Hey I can do all of these things and that is why God had been good to me? Is there a reason to show that publickly and being selfish just to acknowledge God had been good to them? I mean showing off or brag they have mone and y they can afford things and saying they are like that becaue God is the reason?

First of all I believe that those thigns had not even have to be published at all and the person be more HUMBLE!!! You can thank God in private noone or strangers needs to know on social media and let the entire world know you have money or you can afford certain perks and then mention the name God on the same sentence. Like I said thanks God sure, you can im not saying you can't but behaving in a bragging way on social media erase God teachings about being humble and not draw attention or

This is occult thinking propagated by Joel Osteen. It is called Prosperity Gospel today but its origins are in New Though.

I find that the Bible has much to offer but unfortunately, Christians have coopted the church and the Bible for political purposes. I won't attend church again because I don't want to go to a political rally and don't want to give money to a church so it can be given to Republican candidates whose views are directly opposite my own.

As far as Joel Osteen goes, I would never trust a guy who preaches the bible and never went to college, earns over one million dollars a year and cannot get a fucking haircut and is a smooth talking 'aw shucks' good ole boy who will steal your money while you have your eyes closed praying.

Why does something like you need to get all offended that others are happy, where you can only dream of being?

The problem is with you., not them.

Also, you sold your ass nothing, and outed yourself as being the jealous type. Those picture are usually either fake or only a snapshot without context. But it's how they out jealous and toxic people like you from their lives.

Who know and honestly, who cares what their posts or motives for posting are. If they aren’t a close friend I just keep scrolling by.

I do sometimes post some pics when traveling either for vacation or work. Sometimes it’s just an FYI to my friends or showing something I thought was cool and sometimes its to see responses from others who might have been there.

I only post vacation photos after I was there but it depends on what they are photos like I don't want to see what they are eating
