To those here who often use Emoji's do you ever suddenly NOT use them to indicate to the other person you are being serious?

I like to use emoji's a lot and also appreciate it when others use them too... but when im used to their emoji use and then suddenly they don't use them for awhile it makes that stand out for me that perhaps they are trying to be serious for a moment talking to me...

unless its clear they aren't of course... anyways is it ever something deliberate for you when you suddenly don't use emojis when you regularly use them?

Yes when i don't use emoji's its because im trying to show the other person im being serious for a moment

It's not a conscious or deliberate thing for me. sometimes i just don't use emoji's. its random

I always use emojis even when im trying to be serious with the other person

I'm not a major emoji user and only use emoji's sometimes with people i like

No I don't always use emojis. It has nothing to do with trying to make a point. Its just random or I could just be tired and Im focusing on what I saying instead. Another thing I noticed if i am serious and I am mad I still sometimes use emojis so really its just a random thing! 🤷

Yea, well actually the thought process is quite the opposite, if I'm just texting I don't really think about whether I shouldn't add emojis, but when I'm being sarcastic or flirty or just being funny I like adding emojis to make sure the other person doesn't get my tonality off and think I'm being mean for no reason when in reality I'm just teasing them

Most of the time it’s not something deliberate or something I do on purpose. Sometimes I forget to use an emoji when someone uses one with me or I don’t think about it.

Yeah, I usually use happy emojis and heart when I'm relaxed or feeling good. When I send 😕😐 or just no emojis at all, the conversation is dead and mostly my opinion of the person is too.

Yes, I avoid using emojis when I'm serious. To me emojis are only for fun moments or jokes.
