That's a shitty Apple design.
You've probably done the same and checked youtube or google for any disassembly videos.
Shit seems to be like Apple where they don't care about waste and want you to keep buying trash, in a sense.
So you either break or leave some nasty marks to change the battery, resolder it. Or buy a new one.
