How often do you check your bank account?

Lately I've gotten a lot of ads for apps like Hiatus that say they help you cancel subscriptions you forgot about. The premise being that people have no idea where their money is going, and that they will save money by not paying for things they don't use.

I check my account at least once a week and use a written budget so the idea that people don't know where their money goes kind of boggles my mind lol

As for me when it comes to finances I do everything by paper & if I want to know what is in my account I just have to look at my check register (book) or my savings register. Every month my bank sends me statements so I know my balances as well.

In addition I still write & deposit paper checks & when I deposit checks at my bank they print up a receipt with the balance on it as well.

I check with one of my accounts... my 'free money' account which is just for fun money. I will check and make sure I have enough for beer before I go and buy it. Other than that I don't bother with my savings or my regular account which is just there to pay bills and rent. I might check that out once in a great while just to make sure I'm not getting charged for some bullshit... like the 2 prime accounts I was getting charged for, when I only need my current one.
