You can't prevent an attack of someone who dislikes you but you can influence the reaction of people who observe this attack. If you're more respected, you have more support and you're more credible the attackers will make themselves to clowns.

I get that, too. Those people are ignorant and superficial. I have an old 1st Gen SE. Still has 94% capacity on the original battery and was just sent security updates a few weeks ago. Cost $100 as new/old stock about 5 years ago. Works fine, does everything I need. If someone just must have a brand new $1000+ phone each year, let him have it. I'd rather put that towards a guitar or invest that money.

Samsung phones kind of suck. Only because they don't block messages from blocked numbers. They send the block number messages to your spam folder. Where iphones you don't receive any messages at all from any numbers you have blocked
