I enjoy social media because I don't follow junk pages. I follow pages that are useful such as Christian based content creators, health care agencies, acorns/everest/Sach investing, real estate, cooking pages and local events. Those who complain about social media are usually the problem themselves
No, the ones I see complain about social media are having valid criticisms about the algorithms and how these platforms work. Things like filling endless pages with mainstream channels that you don't want to watch when you search for a term thats been in the news recently. The creators you enjoy being demonetized. Opinions being censored, etc.
Its not about who I follow because I follow people I want to follow, its about who I get recommended to follow next.

Highly agree, the algorithms are made to addict these people even more and to feed their beliefs even more. Ideally you follow positive things that make you a better person, but sadly we know this is not the case for a lot of people

I guess. I personally ditched Facebook, because I didn't like to be reminded how much better my old classmates were doing than me. And I actually didn't like the voyeuristic aspect either. E. g. if I like a person, I don't necessarily want to know that their spelling sucks and they like really cringe music. Then I have used Twitter where I constantly get into arguments. YouTube is okay, but most of the content is just content for the sake of content. I don't feel like my time there is that well-spent. This site is okay, but way too addictive. I don't use Instagram or TikTok or Snapchat. I guess I just feel like social media has too much crappy content that tends to find its way into my feed somehow.
No, a lot of the criticism is valid, whether or not you participate as a reader. People that instigate drama and then complain about it, are ridiculous hypocrites, of course. Personally, I refuse to partake in social media, because most of it are just ugly echo chambers filled with unimportant people.
Disagree. Transgenderism being pushed onto children, hate against Christians, hate and racism against Whites, promoting drugs, promoting promiscuity, etc. are all common on social media. And someone doesn't need an account to see that kind of content that shows up in news programs repeatedly.
There are many people in this life that just hate everything you could give them anything and everything that they've ever wanted or needed and they would still be unhappy..
It's more about how to adapt in any given situation taken the good release the bad everything is knowledge and how you handle it is your choice it also shows exactly who you are in life by the way you deal with thingswell... you get that tired and sick of it, one would have to spend a lot of time with it, that is true
but, there's definitely a lot of trash in social media, that's also true...wrong, but they are stupid not to expect low quality, i expect trash.
Sometimes but not always. You can hate social media and not be a shallow person.
I love it too and I don't see a problem with it
It depends.
