I got a message and it says it is a Tinder verification code, but lately I've never used tinder. What could be the reason? I don't have an active Tinder account now...
It sounds like someone was trying to enter your Tinder account , you probably got a verification code because someone tried resetting your password to access into your account , Are you currently in a relationship now! It might be your partner checking to see if you are being up to no good

Be careful with Tinder, Phone Companies, Tax returns, Energy Companies, Microsoft, That are calling you or send you text out of the blue... These are ClickBaits, do not respond to any of them or access/click any links, as from there you can have "relased" in to YOOUR devices a virus that is on Auto Functionality and can take All Your Data from the devices, such as... Text messages, pictures, bank details, other phone numbers, literally All your data.

Probably a phishing attempt. Especially if there is a “Tinder” hyperlink included. Could also be someone typed in the wrong phone number.
Someone either trying to create a catfish account using your phone number or they messed up typing in their number. Not really a big deal
Someone is trying to use your number to activate their account. Typically it is someone you are talking to and they will ask for the verification code.
Don't use dating apps
They intentionally don't have you meet people, so that you keep paying them, to keep preventing you from meeting people
They're not being held accountable for itSomeone tried to open your tinder account that you used
just ignore it
most likely a scam
