Russia has fined Google US$20.5 decillion (that's “205” followed by 32 zeroes) over YouTube content moderation. Russia is mad at the video platform for failing to restore the YouTube accounts of state media outlets, which YouTube considers pro-Moscow propaganda channels, in violation of YouTube rules. The fine increases by US$1 million every day it goes unpaid.
As wealthy as Google and its parent, Alphabet, is, the fine amount is equivalent to all the money on Earth multiplied by 23,809,523, according to Digital trends.
Russia might also still be mad after YouTube suspended its AdSense program in the country over the summer, meaning creators there can no longer monetize their content with ads.
