Never heard of it until today. Anyone have it or use it? We all definitely need to block certain trackers.

DuckDuckGo isn't a browser, it's a search engine. This means even if you use it with search engines like Chrome, they'll still track you with ease. If you're truly paranoid about other people seeing what you're doing on the internet, then you have a great many replacements to make in your software to avoid them. No more Windows, no more Google or Microsoft products, switch to linux-based systems and open-sourced software only. Me personally, though, I don't really care if I'm getting tracked. I don't hide the hundreds of transgender women I follow.
to block trackers, there's a few options there, yes...
DuckDuckGo is one of them... but there's a few more options that might be even better
OK, so?
so, if you already use Chrome for example... I would recommend you to install Brave browser, because that is the one that's going to block most trackers
if you set it to block ALL trackers, some sites might not work correctly anymore
BRAVE would be a very good balance, and it is pretty much the same as Chrome without the insane tracking
DuckDuckGo is also a good option, and a neat one as well
Brave will block more of the annoying ads, though
The Brave browser does the same thing by default. No need to install an extension or software, Brave does it automatically.
Never heard of it. I use Edge of Chrome at the time. Norton says they will remove all trackers. So either they are trying to scam me (most likely) or my browsers are not doing their job. But Norton does list all the sites that are tracking me and I do use those sites so?

I’ve been using DuckDuckGo as a search engine for a while because it doesn’t track my history And I use Mac software
why care about being tracked?
they are not tracking *you*
they are tracking patterns for your demographic
So they can bombard you with ads I assume?
But you will get ads anyway. It's just whether they will be relevant to you or not.
I have made DuckDuckGo my default online presence. It works very well. When teaching through DDG, bounce-backs from vendors, etc. seem to be greatly reduced.
no such thing as a browser that completely stops trackers
I know a few people that use it and like it…..
How does an end user know if they're being tracked or not?
Yes I used it but still use Google
Yes, I use it sometimes/
Yes I have it is also for the smart phone
Does it actually stop them?
Yeah, it's a classic
