Such people have low self-confidence and self-respect, and try to make up for that by trying to become something they are not.
They are probably trying to enhance their looks. To me that's deceiving. I am who I am and im proud of it. No photo shop here

Yeah, that’s what it makes it look like that. Everybody’s a catfish
I don't know, I don't fit into the FB culture. Back when FB was very popular I got banned from it for just trying to make contacts with people. You see people don't like me, and it's been hard to live with that fact. FB doesn't understand that there are people like me out there that need human connection. And that makes me look like a spammer to their stupid computer systems. Yet they are so stupid that they let people do this crap on FB. The best thing to happen to FB is for it to sink into hell.
Because they think they are better creators than nature and they do not care how it ends up making them look.
For the same reason why girls go for fake breasts or butts while the end result is always awful whenever you go against nature.
Because this generation now believes in short term happiness and anything everlasting like staying with one partner for a lifetime is looked down upon.
I have only ever been on GAG's and I've never been on FB, and I have a photo of a sunrise for my avatar.
The people who post photos of themselves or fake photos, probably think they will receive more responses.
Because they don't care about being genuine.
Not long ago I met this woman. She was caring a yoga shirt from certain school, like she was the yoga instructor.
Later on I figured out she wasn't any instructor, neither practiced yoga. She was just carrying it because she was in a yoga festival, and she just wanted to get a guy there.
Same mindset.
I don't know. I tried it on here and didn't like it, so I went back to regular photos.
Lets face it. most people are hideous. They do not want anyone to know just how hideous they are.
😂😂😂 I was just thinking the same thing!
@TrueConfection you are just a little bit hideous.
I know! I wonder if I send my photo to AI and get a rendering like the example above… then I can try to make myself look like the AI version of me? Is that possible? 🤪
@TrueConfection Yes, totally possible,
Cooooool
They think they will attract more followers.
Could be true, yes. xxxx
Yes it's a sign of the egocentric time we are in. Everything curated to look 'special '
I have no idea. Mine is straight out of Geezer land.
No idea. I use filters, but not Ai.
at least they are all white
Not me!
I guess they want to be anonymous?
Don't know
