It is to a certain extent but it's not a wide known social media platform and because everyone is anonymous, it's an unusual kind. Yes we can socialize with each other but we have no idea if the person we're conversing with is really who they say they are. I've dealt with catfishes on here.
when I say I don't do social media... I do refer to all of those apps in your phone with, literally... millions of active users, and everyone knows which those are
but I do G@G here... which is very different, it is just a Q&A forum site, there's a social aspect to it, yes... but it is a very different dynamic
It is because GAG doesn't work like facebook, instagram, or X. It's built on the concept of a question and answer site. Not a show off my life kind of site.

Social media platforms are defined by user-generated content, sharing, interaction, and community participation. GAG aligns with all these core elements. Users actively create, upload, and share humorous content such as memes, images, and short videos. Engagement happens through likes, comments, reposts, and discussions, which helps content gain visibility organically. This interaction-driven model is a key characteristic of modern social media ecosystems.

From a branding and digital growth perspective, platforms like GAG offer strong opportunities for viral marketing. Content spreads rapidly due to its entertainment value, making it effective for increasing brand awareness, audience reach, and engagement—especially among younger, digitally active users.
At Tanvix Technologies, we view GAG as an alternative social platform that complements traditional channels like Instagram or Facebook, providing brands with a creative space to connect, engage, and build an authentic online presence through relatable content.
