I've been using a rechargeable bike headlight for about 6 years now. it clips on and off the handlebar mount on my mountain bike. It fits in the palm of my hand. And it's brighter at max output than a car headlight. But on low output it's perfect for close up work without blinding you. It's rugged as hell. It lasts about 60 hours on low output or 6 hours on high output. I carry it in my car and backpacking.

My go to for hands free operation when backpacking is a headlamp. I use disposable lithium batteries for about 24 hours of operation. The output can be adjusted between a beam and an area floodlight. It leaves my hands free for climbing or other tasks around camp.
Batteries.
In my experience, the rechargeable ones lose their battery life and eventually become useless. You have to replace the entire flashlight.
Plus, you can't recharge a flashlight during a prolonged power outage.
Batteries in a battery-powered flash light last a long time.
Rechargeable. Batteries, especially good batteries, are fucking expensive, and will corrode and damage the light. A rechargeable one is still pretty cheap, lasts a while and you don't need to worry about battery damage or storage
I can't remember when I last used one, or if I every did. Just using my phone light. Usually good enough.
I think non rechargeable batteries can last a bit longer so it depends on your needs I guess.

Depends.
If you're looking for high light output then no replaceable batteries are going to compete with sealed lithium rechargeable.
But in most cases if you're looking at ordinary use - then replaceable rechargeable batteries gives you best of both worlds. Just ensure you carry a battery charger though..
Not quite. I backpack and climb mountains. There is no place to plug in a charger in a wilderness area. And portable charger batteries are just more dead weight you wouldn't want to carry up a mountain. That's where disposable lithium ion disulfide (Li-FeS2) batteries are the best choice. 9X the power density of alkaline batteries with 33% less weight. Expensive but the best solution in a use case where recharging is not an option and failure can get you dead.
This is such a manipulative question.
I know what you're doing, but your agenda fools no one. People of g@g won't fall for such an obvious trap. Stop trying to prevent us from talking about sex. It won't work.
I use no portable flashlight, my phone is enough.
I'll go with replaceable. If chargable was a great option, it would be on my gun safe. It's easier and safer to just change the batteries at a designated time to ensure it works when I need it.
I have a flashlight with a single rechargeable AA battery.
So it's easy to charge using a normal phone charger, and I can use a common disposable battery if needed.
The newer LED flashlights are primarily rechargeable and they produce far more light that standard flashlights with replaceable batteries, so this is a no brainer.
I still have a bunch of replaceable batteries, so...
maybe after all those, I'll get rechargeable ones...
... I just use the one in my phone. Hubby has some flashlights, but I don't know what he uses
there's no excuse for having fixed battery anything. it's litterally e-waste produced directly for the landfill. luckily the EU is right now working at legislation to make it illegal.
Replaceable. You have to charge too many things these days.
Replaceable one's. At least I already know how to replace a battery in something.
Replaceable is more convenient especially when I'm hiking or camping.
Rechargeable if you’re at home and replaceable batteries when you’re out in the middle of nowhere and there’s no electrical outlet to plug it into
Replaceable rechargeable batteries. The best of both worlds.
I use the ones with replaceable batteries. I keep plenty of batteries on hand.
Shouldn't use lithium batteries. They might blow your balls off.
Why not both, a rechargeable flashlight with a replaceable battery.
Both options, larger lights rechargeable smaller / tactical styles replacement battery.
rechargeable of course.
Energizer bunny
Hand crank that recharges
