Any tips for my first plane ride?

i went on one when i was young so i don’t remember much and it’s only an hour flight so that’s good i hate heights but at least the lights will be pretty at night. also i only know one thing cover your ears i think when they plane is first lifting lol.

it wasn’t that bad the beginning was a little rocky and scary but then i started calming down and the plane was somewhat leveled in the air lol and i started taking pictures of the sunsets & clouds. also my ears were hurting like hell i’m going to try gum i guess and see.

You don't want to cover your ears. You WILL need to yawn/open your mouth so that your ears will "pop", because the plane will be pressurized and the pressure will change - much like driving up or down a mountain - and you'll want to equalize that pressure.

yep really. Well, it's not guaranteed, your ears might adjust without any extra effort, and they might not. Or the cabin pressure may be adjusted for you so you are unaffected. It doesn't happen every time.

If yawning doesn't work, you can also try chewing gum if you brought any, holding your nose and swallowing sometimes helps, or holding your nose and (gently, gently) blowing to increase pressure.

Do your best to yawn, but, yeah, if that doesn't work, try some chewing gum - sometimes that helps. Anything to equalize the pressure in your ears, which you do by opening up the pathways from the sinuses to the ear canals - which is usually accomplished by opening your mouth wide and flexing your jaw muscles. But chewing gum may also flex those muscles enough to open up those passages and "pop" your ears.

I'm not joking. This is why your ears hurt in the plane. Haven't you ever driven up or down a mountain and felt that pressure in your ears, and then you would have your ears "pop" and he pressure would be gone?

Depending where you are flying from, the longest bit is often getting through security etc.

make sure you had all ready to go through security, checked what you can and can’t take.

I tend to have a carrier bag in my camel back and just bung all the security things in that before security. Makes things simpler.

Boarding pass etc all at hand, your music or book easy to get out of bag.
Bag in overhead, then chill for take off, take some sweets, not chocolate, just something to suck on.

Make sure easy to shove everything back in bag when you land.

-Put some clothes, regular body cleaning stuff, and your essentials in your carry on in case your luggage gets lost
-I'd recommend get pills to sleep if you're anything like me and have trouble falling asleep on planes.

I had a 16 hour flight and couldn't get any sleep. It was terrible. And I had a flight right before it and another one a few hours after it. Could sleep at all. It was pure torture. Still super fun tho.

You talking about commercial airline? Sit over the wing if you can. Its where the airplane naturally balances and turbulence is less pronounced. The aft seats are worst for turbulence. Imagine being a guy and trying to piss in the rear lavatory... Dont get a window seat if you're afraid of heights. Jet engines are not that loud inside the airplane. No need to cover ears. Im a pilot, so ask whatever you wanna know... i can answer lol

You won't really see any lights when you're up in the air. You don't need to cover your ears, but chewing on some gum can be helpful because your ears will likely pop from the altitude changes. Just put in some headphones, be sure to watch the safety demonstration and then relax. Taking off and landing are the worst parts but they're really not that bad, an hour flight will be over with before you know it.

Disable all your social media accounts. Make sure you don’t wear anything too sexy or show your boobs around the Flight attendants. Make you your Weight is under 200 pounds because flight attendants don’t like fat people. Also most flight attendants are very rude. Make sure to have extra money just in case they fuck you over. Look down from the window the entire time and imagine how quickly everything would end if you fell out while at the highest the plane Willa go. Then debate with yourself wether or not you’d be able to hear the crunch/splat caused by the massive impact of gravity

Aircraft cabins are purposefully kept at a very low humidity. Avoid soft drinks and alcoholic beverages and instead drink plenty of water. This will keep you hydrated and more comfortable.
