Is Florida really a free state?

I do not live in Florida but visit it and the cannabis laws really bother me. You can really do whatever you want in NY without being arrested and it is not really a blue state like the West Coast or something and they don't even care in NY.

State rights are separate of Federal government each entitled to do what they see fit withing the general framework of the law. The good thing about America is one does not have to maintain resident in a particular Bloc like a Communist government. Like abortion as I have tenants that work remotely who have given notice to vacate to move to pro-abortion states. This is their right within a Republic unlike other forms of global government.

I saw people being arrested in New York just for opening their business a year or so ago... So call me unconvinced.

No you have to have a medical reason to purchase pot here in Florida. However during Covid we were free regarding lockdowns.
