Can I get a taxi in NYC 24/7?

I’m traveling solo for the first time in NYC. I’ll be staying in Midtown Manhattan, but will be going to the UBS Arena for a concert. The concert may end around 11pm. I was wondering if taxis are easy to get around that area and at that time?
Also, I was told to use the Curb App to book a taxi. Is this a reliable service. Thank you!

Do taxis run 24 7 in NYC?


Taxis are available 24 hours a day. Hail taxis whose numbers are illuminated on top—they're on duty. Board and exit the cab curbside. Hotel doormen can hail a cab for you; a $1 tip is customary for this service.

HOWEVER!
UBS Arena is not in NYC.
It's in Elmont NY in Nassau County on the eastern border of NYC.
You can probably get taxis, but there's no subway out there.
You are not far from trains though - the LIRR.

You need to get to a train station in Manhattan - Penn Station or Grand Central Terminal.

Taxi to/from USB Arena will cost you 3 mortgage payments.
You take busses or the LIRR.
I'd go with the LIRR.

I just looked up an Elmont UBS to Penn Station for S 18 MAR 2023 around 11 PM and there is a train on the Ronkonkoma Line:
Leave Elmont-UBS Arena
11:12 PM

Arrive Penn Station
11:43 PM

However, I didn't see any later than that...

What is the date of this concert?

I am a native NYer so you learn how to navigate in and out of the city with mass transit by high school.

UBS is on Long Island, not Manhattan. you might have to prearrange a cab, or just get a car service. and a cab will want you to pay for both ways for that distance

A lot of subways run in New York and buses. I think they will consider that many people are active around that time.

You can damn near get ANYTHING you want 24/7 in NYC.
