What do you think of when you hear this song?

I went to the beach last week for the only time of the summer. I have been going there since I was little kid. It was always a special place for me. When I was in high school it was really a summer colony and after September it would be pretty desolate. This song always reminds me of summers there.

Whenever I hear the song "Ventura Highway" I picture being in a convertible older car, during the beautiful sunset, driving on Ventura Highway along the ocean. Yeah! Probably my only dream in life. That's a great beach song!
Unfortunately I couldn't play yours because my phone isn't capable of doing that from GaG.

@YesterdaysChild I used to love Rt 66. It was on one of the rerun channels a couple of years ago. The show really held up well. There was an episode shot in Portland Maine with Capt. KIrk in it. Pat Hingle was a fishing boat captain and his boat was tied up at the exact same place I used tobtie up at many years ago.

It's a great song. I always loved Joni's rhythmic musical style and her vocals. The way she could switch to that falsetto was unique and enchanting.

I arranged a great version of Big Yellow Taxi one time with a bunch of percussion, girl background singers, bass, me on acoustic guitar and lead vocal, plus another acoustic guitar. It turned out super fun.

It's interesting how certain music conjures memories of certain places and times in our life.

When I think of the beach, there is a song that always comes to mind. I guess I heard it a lot one year on the transistor radio when I was spending a lot of time surfing and partying at the beach. We were out there one day when this song was playing and a friend said dreamily, "This is the best summer we will ever have."

@sage2021 Your phone has a web browser. It is how you look things up on Google. If you can get to the Google page, search for Girls ask Guys and when you get the result, click on it.
You can login from there and then find my question and you should be able to play the you tube clip.
