I am very sincerely sorry for those who lost their lives in the terrorist attack the other day, along with their families.
I wasn't going to write about this but once I got on Skype and starting talking to my friend, we'll call him "N", he told me how his best friend "S" was in the club and almost got killed.

Now, I don't personally know S, but S and N are so close they're practically brothers. S was in Pulse with a few other friends just to hang out and they left almost half an hour before the shooting happened. The girls they brought with them said they didn't feel good about the place so they left.
Now S is not my friend and most likely, never will be. But N is, he is a friend of mine I made when I first came to GAG. (Sadly he is no longer on GAG)
He and I are not the closest of friends but we're comfortable with each other (at least I am with him), and he's a friend I wish to keep in my future.
I don't know S, but if S had died in the shootings, N would have been heartbroken. N and S live near Orlando and if S had died, N would have taken the guilt onto himself as if it was his fault, because it's the sweet guy he is. Thankfully S is fine, as are the people he was with, but thinking about how close S was to dying, and breaking N's heart, it's a chance to alter your perception. If S did die, and N did break down...who knows what will happen to N and his mindset and our friendship.

Now this sounds as if I'm being heartless towards those who did die because I didn't know them/they're death didn't affect me. That's not the case at all. I'm just glad those who survived, survived. My prayers go out to their families.
I'm glad you're okay S.

That's sucks things like this happen. It's too bad we live in a fallen world where things like this will always be. We must accept and realize this world is violent and there are insane people that are bent on destruction of anything they can destroy, the more the better. We must be willing and able to defend ourselves, our family and innocent people around us. Too bad there wasn't an armed person there. Maybe they could have ended it before the death toll hit 50. Who knows, maybe it would have been zero. We will never know.
you know what gets me about this? its not the fact people were killed or even the fact of rumors the police did little to nothing to stop it for one reason or another, but with how everyone is so focused on the annoyance of the whole gay movement. there have always been issues on both sides for this.
there are gay bashing from good old southern boys or some idiot slack jawed Yankee , , or you have gay activist who are just as bad if not worse but they do it in the name of gays everyone which is the most over rated view point i have ever heard of next to Chia pets. and yes thats how i feel about the stupid debates that get so heated.
this kind if thing is only going to get worse till the political bull shit gets thrown out the window and people actually start giving a damn about one another. because the only thing i see coming from this is more deaths from some other fucked up view point if this was about gay people from what others are saying. its stupid.
I'm glad they are okay
