Barbadian Government Gave Rihanna's Name To The Street Where She Used To Live 🇧🇧

Rihanna could be one of the most successful names in the music history. Besides her musical talents, she is a great symbol of her home country, Barbados. At every turn, Rihanna emphasizes her Barbadian origin and her dedication to her country. In return for her attitude, Barbadian Government decided to give her name to the street where she used to live.

People of Barbados celebrated the 51st anniversary of the countries independence two days ago. On this day, the government invited Rihanna to her hometown to open the street which is honored by her name.

2017has been absolutely perfect for Rihanna. Especially, her make-up line Fenty Beauty rocked the whole world. I can say that this make-up line took her look one level up, because she always mentions that she uses her own line in her daily life. The line which has been breaking sales record all over the world is made for her and by her.

She and her family used to live in Westbury New Road in Bridgetown, Barbados. According to her own words, she was a little girl riding bike and running around barefood in Westbury New Road. Today, the Barbadian Government changed this street name as Rihanna Drive and honored her on the most important day of the Barbadian Nation.

She was entitled as Cultural Ambassador of Barbados and the Barbadians show their love to Rihanna in a very deep and intensive way. The authorities put a memorial in Rihanna Drive stating the situation. Also Rihanna's own words "Welcome to Rihanna Drive... My home. My whole life was shaped on this very road. I was just a little girl riding bikes, running around barefoot, and flying kites in the cemetery, but I had BIG dreams. Dreams that were born and realized right here.

Thank you to my family, my country and the people of Westbury New Road! You will forever be a part of who I am, and for that I am honored to have this place named after me.” were written on this memorial.

In my opinion, she deserves more than this. She will be remembered as one of the biggest stars of all times in the future because of her attitude and natural talents.

This is pretty cool, I like Rihanna. I have seen several street names in the U. S. dedicated to celebrities or other historical figures. I think it's a good way of recognizing that person and their influence on various communities. :)
