Usually, animals are of symmetrical appearance which can make them cute and admirable creatures, but not always. This is a myTake showcasing some bizarre animals with unusual body proportions and shapes.
Hailing from Madagascar, these unique bugs have extended necks on the males that can be several times their own body lengths. The giraffe weevil uses its prolonged neck for nest building and fighting against other males for the right to mate.
Note already for their awesome abilty to change colors, and along with the fact that their eyes are able to move independently & feature a 360 degree of vision.
Their tongue is the possibly the strangest feature of all, with some species having tongues that reach lengths of up to 70 centimeters (28 inches) long, which can be up to twice the length of their own bodies.
There are over one hundred separate species of Fiddler crab but each of them share the same characteristic of the massive claw being so disproportionate with the other. It is only a feature of the male while the female's claws are of the same size as each other. Just like the Giraffe Weevil, they use the claw to compete with other males.
As bizarre as the Goblin Shark already looks with its huge snout, another feature is far more striking, their mouths. These sharks possess jaws that extend in order to capture pray. Some can even extend their jaws as far as the end of their snouts.
Even if we ignore the hippopotamus´ enormous weight and robustness, their teeth are some of the most massive of any animal on Earth. The lower canines and lower incisors are enlarged, especially in males, and grow continuously with incisors reaching 40 centimeters (1.3 feet), while canines can grow up to 50 centimeters (1.6 feet) long. Their milk is also rather odd, being pink in color.
