I don't find the dress tasteful, especially for a wedding. But the idea of 'slut shaming' is purile, childish and should be well and truly beneath any human.
am I the only person here who's actually been to a wedding? next time you're at a wedding look at what the other women are wearing.
Most questions on GAG, I think, put an idea into people's heads for the first time. The QA asks: is this dress appropriate for a wedding? and no one has ever thought abot wether or not a dress could be inappropriate for a wedding before, and they do it for the first time here, and they answer based on something probably very unrelated to weddings - the question is about 'slut shaming' so it associates itself to a bunch of preconceived ideas - and they come upwith a stupid answer, which has no connection to the world that they live in.
The dress covers the chest and the upper thighs, there are very few dresses that cover more, when going to a wedding people tend to wear the most showy stuff they own. Their 'nicests'
LOL, sorry. My comments here weren't even really directed to you, just whatever post was nearest. I'm just totally shocked by this thread. Not even like morally outraged just genuine shocked. Like the people here live in a completely different world from me. I am a "stranger in a strange land"
i dont' personally think it's appropriate for a wedding then again, it depends what kind of wedding, and either way, thats the sort of opinion people should keep to themselves-no need to be a dick to her
People slapping her ass=not ok but the fact that the wedding day is about the bride and not some slut makes you wonder wtf people are thinking. Yus she is a slut why even deny something so simple. It's like the actual woman version of catlin Jenner.
I accidentally clicked A! I meant B! There's nothing rmwrong with that dress. Especially for a hot and humid wedding. Who is this chick? Sorry I don't get out much with celebrities and shit xD
I think whoever designed this should be fashion-shamed :D It has nothing to do with the marriage or how she fits it, I just find it a not-good looking dress in general :D

Not slut shamed, but attention whore shamed. Don't dress like that at someone else's wedding. It's not a night club.

Also, people get sick of those who make every occasion all about them. I'd guess she's such a person.

so I said no - let me make myself clear.

@Laura_Marx I re-read my answer in case I missed something. Pretty sure I didn't
In my honest opinion, as poorly crafted as that opinion on fashion may be - I don't find that dress very appropriate.
I also addressed the slut-shaming elephant in the room. Do you have a problem with both being addressed?
I'm just shell shocked that people think people dont dress tacky at weddings.
@Laura_Marx you're doing it again. Wait till I say it before you assume it's what I mean.
I never said I think people don't dress tacky. I just said I find it in poor taste.

Slut shaming is stupid. Was it a poor fashion choice? Possibly. But nothing more, if it is even that.
while i think the dress is hideous (and in no way appropriate for a wedding), no one deserves to be sexually harassed.
It's not exactly a classy attire to attend a wedding but whatever floats her boat tbh and people should have some decency and just accept that.

Eh, that borders inappropriate for a wedding. It's not the dress that they dislike, it's that she is in good shape and it makes them feel insecure.
She looks like one those 1000$ prostitutes honestly lol

I hit the I don't care option, because I think that slut-shaming is a no go. However, for a wedding I do think the dress is inappropriate.

Attention seeking , lacking class and inappropriate for a wedding
Most likely it was post-Wall hags and hamplanets that got pissy with her about the dress.
I truly don't see why people slut shame grown ass women. She can wear what the hell she wants.
There's nothing wrong with her wearing the dress.
It just doesn't belong at a formal event like a wedding
She's going to a wedding, not a strip club. There's a time and place for everything. You dress for the occasion.
Vote A.
When people dress for attention they shouldn't ever be surprised when they get it.
The dress sure is completely inappropriate, but still, she did not deserve to be treated that way.
Had it been a different occasion the dress would have been perfectly appropriate but it is too attention grabbing to be worn at a wedding.
She should be shamed for trying to take away attention from the bride and groom. The wedding isn't about her.
