Is Imran Khan comparable to MLK or is he just another leader of an oppressive regime?

Question

He attacks India and the rest of the world yet failed to address the cultural attitudes of Pakistani men towards women and young homeless Pakistani boys, he never mentioned once Pakistan's problem with gang rape. But I guess the speech wouldn't have the same zing if it focused on Pakistani gang rape culture. All in all he's being a bit hypocritical considering how many Pakistani women are in bondage and how many young Pakistani homeless boys are gang raped.
So I say no he is not the Pakistani Nelson Mandela and will likely get called out for the same bullshit he called India out on as this is a political case of the pot calling the kettle black.
Pakistan is a country where women do not have basic freedoms, where mon-muslims are oppressed, criticising Islam is punishable by death, martial rape is legal, where forced conversion, rape, and forced marriages of non-muslim women regularly occurs, mass gang rape, where thousands Hindu families are forced to flee as refugees to India each year, of honour killings,
90% of women reported being subject to domestic violence, acid attacks, where the gang rape of homeless boys is not only seen as normal it's not even seen as a bad thing.

I agree with you on everything except marital rape cause i don't believe in marital rape, yiu cannot say that yoour own husband rapes you while he has the right to see you naked make sex with you anytime he wants, he is your husband, your family and your everything, not a stranger, not a rapist and you accepted marrying him...

When we talk about rape, you cannot make your husband look like a stranger who kidnapped you and raped you.

A girl is supposed to give her man, her body all of it, he is responsible of your life, your well being and takes good care of you.

Also every man should be taught that when his wife is sick or can't have sex, he must understand it cause she will surely make it up for him later and do not force her because you ain't going to be happy, this is your wife and not a doll, you need her love, her happiness cause she is your other half, hurting her means hurting yourself.

If every man and woman learns this than we will be able to delete this thing called marital rape.
It's a shame to call MARITAL rape.

Every woman who tells her husband no for no harsh reason, must be punished and make her lose all her rights.

Marriage means givinf yourself to the person that you love, your a family now and god blessed you both, there will be no person on earth closer to you then your spouse, no parents and no kids, he or she comes 1st. Deal with it or never get married.

I hate to admit it, but being culturally Indian 🇬🇧🇮🇳 I am drawing a lot of similarities between him and Narendra Singh Modi of India who wants to make India hindu again, but says "I want to make india great again" sound like someone you know?

I feel like muslims are being pushed out of India and Hindus are being pushed out of Pakistan. Being nationally British I have the ability to see the whole picture and the potential war that may be brewing between the two countries.

Facts:
1. One of the highest rape percentage per population of rape is in India and america
2. Minority racism is one of the extreme in America.. towards black, muslims etc.
3. No, women are not oppressed, they have equal rights to men in pakistan.. maybe more rights than in america. More respect than in america.
4. It was a UN speach, imran khan was to deliver on global issues, not domestic issues.. there's a time for everything.
5. A lot more cruelty and mass murder is carried out by america, israel, and india.. namely in afghanistan, iraq, iran, palestine, kashmir, syria.. against which imran khan speaks of.. where gang rapes of young girls, mass murder.. curfews, bombings of civillians and hospitals is a norm..
So please.. instead of lashing out with baseless facts, when your feelings got hurt cuz he spoke the truth.. own the monstrocities from america and india and israel..

Coming to the criticisms, I don't think it is something characteristic of Pakistan itself.
I am from India and I don't see it any better here. Honor Killings - check, Gang Rapes - check, Oppression - check,... so should I accuse our Prime Minister of Being the leader of an oppressive regime? But wait! I'd be labelled an anti-national for saying so.

In my opinion NO he cannot be compared to MLK or Mandela. And it's pointless criticising one person alone

I don’t know enough about the man to make a well informed opinion. He sounds very similar to leftists as described. Denouncing other countries using terms like islamophobic and denouncing the UN while being blind to the vileness going on in his own country if those things are true.

Never heard of this guy, but reading your post, as soon as I saw that this was an India/Pakistan issue, I saw that there's likely nobody with the moral highground in this conflict. It's funny that oyu mention MLK, a man who took direct Inspiration from India's Liberator, because my favorite quote of MLK is "Darkness Cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that; hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that."

In my country politicians promote racism and use it as a tool to get votes and win elections. They frequently ignore or gloss over many critically important issues. So no, I do not subscribe to Khan's rhetoric any more than I subscribe to that of any other politician. It's all a dead letter to me.
