The show has been running for 30 years, it's literally just them running out of plot devices so they pick monuments, figure heads or past events to make gags about... literally just coincidence.

Coincidence. There is no luck, no future predictions by sooth sayers and not psychics - it's all coincidence based on likely outcomes. I could predict crashing my car in the next 5 years and then experience said crash but that would be nothing more than human error guided by coincidence.

If you honestly want to believe that a 30 year old cartoon is anything more than a show running out of ideas then go for it.
