Kyle isn't a murderer he was found innocent in a court of law. Also are you upset that the political left can't use violence and intimidation any more.

Fortunately, we live in a relatively free and diverse society where not everybody has the exact same wants, needs, and opinions as you. So sometimes people exercise their right to carry even when they’re not hunting (like for instance, going into a dangerous situation where other people will certainly have guns... like the guys that attacked him).
And you’re right... maybe I am kind of weak and pathetic. I’m a naturally tiny woman who doesn’t gain weight easily and would certainly lose in a situation where someone attacked me. I’m also an EMT who loves helping and doing my best to protect people. So I would go into a situation like that for the purpose of helping and protecting... and I would bring a gun...
Also, immediately blocking anybody who expresses a different opinion than yours is a perfect example of purposefully surrounding yourself with bias and being completely closed-minded.
I would never block somebody just because they disagree with me. If you’re going to insult somebody just because they disagree with you, you should at least give them a chance to respond.

Just wow, I thought they were going to convict him no matter what. Seems these self defense cases can often end up convicted for self defense.

This was a case of self defense, regardless of how he came to be there. No one can say the rioters had more right to be there than Kyle did.

I am truly surprised at this verdict. Maybe future riots will have my Kyles show up to protect property that rioters love to loot and destroy.

I was fairly certain it would be guilty, but that's because I have no faith in the courts or juries. Preconceptions win out in the vast majority of any legal cases, regardless of evidence, and the media sets the preconceptions.

I'm glad I was wrong in this case, but my opinion on courts remains the same.

Many people are defying the verdict right now based on preconceptions and ideological allegiances (as if self-defense weren't a universal human right). Or perhaps they were swayed by arguments such as "By using the fire extinguisher on the fire, you were adding fuel to the fire", or "You've played call of duty, right? A game where you shoot people?", or "You should have chose to be beaten by the mob, like a man".

find ways to reach across "the divide" before this happens again. Too many hurt humans, find empathy and compassion, for many will be hurting. Find ways to resolve root traumas instead of medicating people til they want to die.
