From what I understand, it just means that states get to decide their own rules. That's the way it should have been all along. The role of the federal government is just to protect the homeland from invaders. They can't even manage that. Why is the federal government involved in education and abortion? And now Kamala is going to be in charge of cyber bullying. What? She's in charge of the border, and she hasn't even been there. Why give her another task to fail at.
And since you can get over-the-counter abortion pills, I don't see what all the fuss is about. Why did Chuck Schumer have to openly threaten the lives of two supreme court justices, if they didn't vote HIS way on abortion? Where is the hearing on that? The dems are all focused on Jan 6th, which was a giant nothing burger.

There isn’t really much to be confused by when you think about it like this.
The guys who make the rules for your uterus used to be at federal level. Now the guys who make the rules for your uterus are at the state level.
It returns to being a state's rights issue, which is what it had been and should be. The idea that the federal government should have input about medical procedures smacks of Euro-socialism and was used as a vehicle for enabling Obama care, which meant increased costs to cover freeloaders.
I don't care how often a woman gets scraped and vacuumed out (I believe that is the procedure) but Roe v. Wade was the federal government overreaching its power and I'm happy it was overturned, along with yesterday's unconstitutional control law in NY State.
No, it simply means that the individual states have the right to set their own abortion rules. It will give the majority of people there an appropriate voice. They can always vote people out of office they do not agree with.

I still don't understand how overturning a decision on what I seem to recall as a rape case 30 or 40 years ago has anything to do with abortion.
I also don't understand why nobody can say, "versus" or write, "Vs." anymore. We actually need a short cut for a short cut?- u
The left is portraying this as if it's the end of abortion throughout the entire land. It's not (though I certainly wish it were). This just returns the issue to the state level.
And to clarify, Roe vs. Wade wasn't as much overturned as Dobbs vs. Jackson was upheld. Here's the ruling: https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/21pdf/19-1392_6j37.pdf
Essentially, all Roe V Wade did was prevent individual states from passing laws banning abortion. Now it's up to individual states, and a political culture that made victimhood a source of social status points, and persecution complexes a matter of fashion, is absolutely certain that EVERYONE is going to outlaw it.My take on this is that SCOTUS has ruled that the Federal Government had no grounds to allow or to restrict abortions. That right was up to the individual states to decide all along.
Which now will put it in the hands of local government to be determined by the state elections. Meaning the voters!
Be careful who you vote for!As of the ending of Roe v. Wade, 410 U. S. 113, abortion will be left up to the states now, but most red states will make it outright illegal, meaning abortion will be completely banned (in red states), most likely. Either way, it's diving the country and getting rid of Constitutional rights, outright.

The only effect of the Supreme Court decision is to say that abortion is not a right protected by the US Constitution. That means that each state can make its own rules on whether abortions are allowed at all and, if so, under what conditions. Now the focus will shift to state legislatures.
No, that is incorrect.
1. About half the states are going to have abortion outlawed.
2. The other half will not.
3. Find out what the law is in your state. If you know someone needing consultation on an abortion, they can go to a state where it is allowed. But you need to know state law, because there could be restrictions on leaving the state and coming back. It's not confusing at all. The Supreme Court did not outlaw abortion. All they did was make it so that each state will determine its own laws regarding abortion.
Ya I think California are still doing them
Either way it takes time for a bill to be fully in placeNo, I think you have it right. Seem quite straightforward to me though.
The sinner states and anti God states will still have abortions , yes
it is up in the air... local laws apply, so it depends on where you live.
