This has just recently re-surfaced in Australia. It was something of a surprise to me to learn that Johnny Deps finger was damaged in Australia during Pirates 5. But today we learnt that Amber smuggled in dogs Boo and Pistol into Australia.
Because of Australia being girt by sea there are a whole lot of animal diseases we just don't have. And we'd like to keep it that way thank you. Dogs need to be quarantined for two weeks. Breaking this can be punishable by 10 years in jail.
However Amber decided to fly in Boo and Pistol on a private flight and not declare them.
When caught Amber deflected and blamed staff and appears to have demanded staff to lie under oath to an Australian court. She made Johnny Dep appear with her in a mea cupla and shipped Boo and Pistol out of Australia quick smart. One of her excuses was that she was distraught Johnny had hurt his finger.
We learnt today that as an outcome of the defamation trial, Amber is being investigated for perjury by our Dept of Agriculture, Water and Environment.
As a US citizen would you support Amber being extradited to Australia if perjury charges proceed? She could be in the clink for up to 10 years. I don't think Queensland has any celebrity prisons either.
