One just happened today near where i live. pretty scary. I was even in the area where this happened earlier this morning. this shooting happened later in the afternoon!
+1 yYes it was quite sad. It was a school shooting and the saddest part was before that year so the year prior we were trying to buy a home in a certain town and we prayed endlessly for this house and it fell through we were so depressed and we didn't understand why. well thank God for unanswered prayers because the following year my daughter would have been in that school during that shooting.

A mass shooting never happened nearby where i live.

+1 yIn the country never, but when I lived in the big city, daily and nightly thing with gangs. I was more concerned with the random shootings than mass shooters, cause I did have my car shot up before, few bullet holes while I was working or where I lived got randomly shot too.
Police are useless, call them to say hey my place was shot and my car and they didn't even bother to collect any evidence, here is the police report. Contact your insurance to get it fixed.
By standers would get shot by stray bullets from the gang battles, even children and it was a normal thing.
I personally am far more concerned about the gang warfare than mass shooters.
There was a mass shooting at a mall but very minor as only two people shot before a off duty cop took the shooter out.

+1 yLast year a MAGA gun nut asshole murdered his 15yo stepdaughter by shooting her in the back four or five times as she tried to get her baby brother to safety next door and then he shot the neighbor lady in the leg who was trying to help them. It was just two blocks from me. Then he committed suicide by shooting himself in the head after he barricaded himself in his house for a couple hours like a fucking pussy. The whole street was closed down all day because of this maniac. Rot in Hell. And because 3 people were shot and not 4, it doesn't even count as a mass shooting. But it should. Because it was.

+1 yYes, the Pulse Nightclub anti-gay terrorist attack, in Orlando! I was just a kid at the time⦠I think I was about 11, but I remember it so vividly! It seemed that everyone we knew either directly knew someone who was attacked, or knew someone with a family member or friend how was impacted by it. It was such an awful time.

Yes it was
Glad you're safe! No mass shootings in my immediate area, but there have been a few in the metro area. A couple years ago a removal car I was driving from an unattended death scene took a couple bullets in a bad neighborhood. I didn't realize it until I tried to accelerate on an on-ramp and the car quit due to some damage from the bullets.
16 Reply- +1 y
oh wow. did you call a tow truck?
u +1 yYes. The Highway Patrol saw I pulled over on the side of the ramp, and pulled in to check on me. The trooper was the one who spotted the holes in the left front fender. I called for another removal car to transport the remains, the Trooper called the tow truck. The cost of repairs if I remember right was about $3,500.

yikes? no insurance to cover that?
- +1 y
well good. glad you're safe then!
Yes.
The Cumbria shootings was a spree shooting which occurred on 2 June 2010 when a lone gunman, taxi driver Derrick Bird, killed twelve people and injured eleven others before killing himself in Cumbria, North of England.
The shootings began in mid-morning in Lamplugh and moved to Frizington, Whitehaven, Egremont, Gosforth, and Seascale, sparking a major manhunt by the Cumbria Constabulary, with assistance from Civil Nuclear Constabulary officers. Thirty crime scenes across Copeland were investigated.
I was looking after my nephew that day and he was a bit put out that I would not let him and his friends go to the local park as we had no idea which way Bird was travelling.

It surreal... I still go to that mall.

Yeah i pass by the park when i work every weekend too. scary stuff when its literally happening near you.
Worst to happen around me was a nutjob ramming her car into the crowd at a parade. I was in that town at the time, but didn't live there. Killed several and injured a lot more as I recall. Seeing 4-5 life flight helicopters lined up and down the street was pretty intense.
20 ReplyI did, partly. Years ago whilst living in the UK someone had died at the end of my street after a shooting in the evening. Another time whilst waiting for a bus to arrive, I'd witnessed in broad daylight someone shooting the back of a small Ford hatchback that was driving on the street with an Uzi, literally spraying it and shattering the rear windscreen before the perp ran away. Luckily the driver survived the incident. That was one of my first ever witnesses of a shooting incident.

+1 y15 year old girl got hit by a random bullet today near me.
My ex mother in law came home to a hole in her bed because the guy downstairs discharged his 45 through the ceiling.
There's a bullet hole at head level in the screen around my swimming pool.
People who live in the country side don't understand the problems idiots with guns cause in a city.
10 ReplyNO! However, one of the ladies I see is a Kiwi that was born in New Zealand. She was in Aramoana, New Zealand when 13 or 14 people were shot and killed about 32 years ago. She was about 15 years old then and was close enough she remembers hearing some of the gunshots. Her family moved to the US about 3 years later.
10 ReplyI'm not sure if there was a mass shooting near where I live but I do remember once there was a shooting in a town near where I live. I think this was 2 or 3 summers ago if I remember correctly.

+1 yI moved out of my hometown, but some time later a black supremacist (I think he was one of those hoteps or black Hebrew Israelites or whatever theyāre called) shot and killed 3 catholic white guys outside of a catholic charity organizationās building, like a day or two after shooting and killing a security guard at a motel.
Also where a group of guys shot up a superbowl party, but I wouldnāt be surprised if that was gang related.10 Reply
+1 yNo, hell I haven't even seen a gun firing. I live in a pretty safe place but their are just theft cases. Nothing serious happens here.

458 opinions shared on Trending & News topic. Yes, right across town at a club I had been to a couple times. I had also stayed at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, where the gunman in the Vegas country concert shooting fired from. And at a place on the east coast that I traveled to for work before.

+1 yYou're more likely to die from getting shot than dying in a car accident in America. It is the land of the free: you are free to get shot, free to pay more for healthcare at a lower quality and free to pay more in taxes than Jeff Bezos.
