Vietnam, South Korea and Australia aren't exactly defenceless you know. I seriously doubt whether China could take Taiwan even if they threw everything they had at it (including the proverbial kitchen sink).

China has two years to do their expansion. Once we have a person in the white house that is not old and senile and compromised from taking millions from China they will not be as bold.

China is looking at Russia's progress in Ukraine, China has a lot of Russian equipment and soldiers are armed similarly with similar tactics. Invading Taiwan would cost them too much and they don't want others to see how weak they are militarily
