I think the GOP is tired of paying Trump's legal bills and will put everything they have into backing DeSantis. It might be different if Trump weren't so low class - indeed if Trump weren't so low class Rupert Murdoch probably would have signed on to Trump's attempt to overturn the election and J6 might have gone a bit differently.

But, they'll have two years to steer trumps followers to DeSantis. It won't be hard. These are people they have been stringing along with fearmongering and hate for decades.
