US President Joe Biden ended his speech on gun control in Connecticut by saying "God Save the Queen".

This is causing an uproar... it's King Charles III on the UK throne!

biden has alzheimer's as my father died of the disease... you don't live very long with the condition as my father was much younger when he died... i'm conservative at the end of the day and i'm not on board with all this weird stuff they put children through... or the open borders... or the ukraine dealings... or not pumping oil... which causes inflation... but he knows that and he's following orders from someone obviously... probably o;bama and his staff i'm sure eg. susan rice and company... biden ultimately put the orders to have trump arrested... and i'm sticking with trump until it's not possible.

My mother had Alzheimers for 18 years. She died from a pneumonia. Joe Biden does not have Alzheimers. He shows no signs to me--what he did was a spoonerism. Instead of saying, "God help us all", he said that (for whatever reason--maybe he is used to that saying." I do that all the time, and I don't have Alzheimers.

There is nothing wrong with Biden’s mind. Having a bad sense of direction myself, I need to be told where the exit is in a hospital when I leave a visit. I can recall that about Biden when he asks where he should exit.
But as far as knowing where he is, who he is talking to and what he is talking about, he has no problem. That’s not Alzheimer’s, and only a doctor can tell if he had it. His doctor has said his mind is sharp and physically he is fine. Also, if he stutters, that’s a speech impediment and not an indication of mental alertness or clarity.
So be mindful of making judgements about people when you aren’t with them all day long. I clearly saw it daily with my own mother, and with testing she was found to have Alzheimer’s.

It seems weird in Connecticut. Did he think he was in England? Even aside from it now being God save the King, it wouldn't be appropriate in England because it was co-opting the King to a political issue and the whole point of the monarchy is to be above politics.

While Australia is a monarchy, it wouldn't be appropriate to close with that here either.

I can't follow Biden anymore. In the election process I tried to point out that he might be senile and suffering from dementia but he got elected anyway. Even though I favor Republicans at the moment, I can't think of a worse democratic candidate than Biden. I even think he was the worst part of Obama. The guy is more incoherent than I am and I'm completely wasted every time I use this site.

I actually liked Andrew Yang a lot in Democratic elections of 2020. YangGang and all that even though I'm Japanese and we supposedly hate Chinese and Taiwanse. UBI is interesting to me even if it might be disastrous. I think Republicans exaggerate the cost because they're focused so much on fiscal responsibility, but the disaster of government is spending it on counter-productive things. Like most Republicans can't seem to understand MMT but MMTs can't seem to understand the inflation they get from central control with their view of government controlling economies like puppet masters.
