Yep , I guess the economy was booming so much they couldn't handle all the money and decided to close all their stores. MAGA Trump worshipers say economy has never been better , Are MAGA too drunk or just on drugs?

Feb jobs report came out today with an loss of 92k jobs. It was expected to be a gain of 55k. If they're reporting a loss of 92k, then it was actually a lot worse because the Trump administration has been consistently revising those numbers down a month or two later. December had showed a gain of 48k new jobs but it was revised down to a loss of 17k. He fired the previous person responsible for reporting jobs numbers for inaccuracy and replaced them with someone far worse.

Gas prices up 11% this week. Oil went up 35% this week. Dow is down over 3% this week as retail investors sold off because they need to take money out the stock market to pay their bills. Everything is great and the future is bright right?

Everyone bitched about the tariffs. The democrats said that inflation would go nuts and companies would go out of business. In reality inflation remained steady at around 2.5%, countries lined up to invest in new facilities in the US. Manufacturing started to make a comeback and the trad deficit declined due to more exports and fewer imports. The treasury also collected 200 billion dollars.
This will be the same thing. In a week or so Iran will have no military left and there will be a regime change. The strait of Hormuz will be open for business again and America will end up with an oil deal.

The Fed uses PCE inflations numbers which climbed to 3%. Manufacturing has declined every month of Trumps presidency and the US Customs and Border Protection announced today their plan of returning the nearly $200 billion to importers. I like your optimism but I can't find facts to support it.

We'll see about Iran but I suspect with recent US polls showing support for regime change in Iran at 30-35%, this might end without any deal. If it lasts another month like Trump expects, oil price will easily double. Qater's energy minister announced today that oil production in the Gulf will have to stop in a few days if the war continues.

@exitseven Inflation hasn't been under 9% for last 10 years. The numbers you rely on are fake. Not actual real numbers. Tariffs are the reason for higher costs. Everyone but you has said they have. Economists say so. The high costs with Biden were caused by Trump's Tatiffs 1st term. I believe what the economists are saying. The businesses that didn't pass on higher prices are going out of business now. Trump has destroyed the economy. I have not seen economy this bad since 1970's.

The economy was much worse with 5 dollars a gallon gas and prices rising every day. It got so bad everyone called it Bidenflation. My investments have done great over the last year, I got a pretty good raise at work and I just got a nice tax cut. I feel very optimistic about the future.

Retail is dead. Nobody goes to stores and when you actually go to a store to buy something , most of the time they do not have it in stock. They want to have it shipped to your house so why bother to go to the store?
The local mall in my town closed 4 or 5 years ago and it has been converted to a mixed use place with a few stores, some restaurants, a theater and an amusement center and 600 apartments.
All you have to do is look at the success that Amazon has had and there is your answer.

Or sell online if you have no store to sell online. That is the biggest bull shit excuse I am given. Online stores are going under. Banks going under. Companies manufacturing going under. When everyone is out of business , then what?

It depends where you are. If you are in a democrat run state like Massachusetts or NY the businesses are fleeing in record numbers because of high taxes and too many regulations. States like Florida and Texas are becoming finance and manufacturing capitals.
Apple just announced it is building a facroty to build Mac computers. They are not building it in Silicon Valley or Seattle, They are locating it in Texas.

Yet if your claim were true then UPS and FED EX would be hiring and they are firing people. If everything is ordered online as you imply , why is Amazon laying off everyone? You can't have it both ways. Don't need stores , but yet online stores are laying everyone off. So, how is anyone buying anything?

There’s a big shift on how people buy things, Amazon overextended itself, like a lot of big companies do and then realize they need to cut back and lay off people, but I know somebody that works there and isn’t getting layed off or saying anything about that, UPS had to give in to the union and give them bigger raises than the company could not afford so now they’ve been buying out senior employees to leave and cutting back because the salaries are costing too much so that doesn’t even have anything to do with the economy and I haven’t really heard much about Fedex laying off because where I work they are trying to hire people and busier than ever but I’m in a different division so who knows what’s going on with the other parts of it but they’ve been having problems for years with ground and express way before Trump got elected
