Honestly, everything will pretty much become possible in the future. It's almost the case where if you can imagine it, it can become a reality. Growing eagle wings in proportion to the size of your body? Stem cell research has already proven it's possible. Reversing age? We're already in human testing phases for it and have already proved it possible with other animals. Teleportation is proven to be possible. Downloading information into the brain has proven to be possible. Cloning the brain has been proven possible, and they've already done it, and soon we'll be able to even upload our brains into devices. Nuclear fusion is possible already, and we're not far off from having clean, unlimited energy. That will completely change the state of the world. If the world has unlimited energy, we'll have the power to accomplish pretty much anything that was thought impossible before. Hydrogen-powered planes have already been made, meaning their emissions are clean and do not pollute the world. A material that is 64 times lighter than steel and 4 times stronger than titanium has been invented.
All of this was made possible with AI. AI is progressing technology in leaps and bounds.
Now to answer the question...
My thoughts on robots having children? I'm actually not against it. The way things are going these days with leftist women in the West becoming completely unbearable, untrustworthy, fickle, materialistic, entitled, narcissistic, misandrists who want equality without responsibility, and want men to lead without having to follow, it's no wonder men are choosing peace rather than pursuing relationships these days (at least the non-simp male feminists).
If men are not able to find suitable partners and desire a family of their own, I'd be happy if there was an option to have them without a woman involved or surrogacy. It's not just robots... they have found a way where men can have kids without women, though it definitely doesn't sound as nice as the natural way. But what can you do if the majority of women are of low quality? (Not hating on all women. There are many who are genuine and do not have any of the negative qualities I mentioned above, but it seems to be the majority of women in the West that are the way I described.)

I hate the term cisgender. There's no such thing as that. It's male or female. Man or woman.
The present record for longevity is 122 years, and even that is likely fraudulent and the person spent half of her life in a nursing home. The next closest proven case is 120 years and is Mrs. Tanaka in Japan who also lived to 120 years...
Guess what? The Bible says God curse humans to no longer live longer than 120 years.
They've been "reversing aging" in worms for decades now, and the worms die anyway... of old age...
Oh boy... another bible thumper
Read Genesis 1:1-3.
Whoever wrote that got that so correct that Quantum Theory has now confirmed that Empty Space (Darkness) is made of light.
The only way someone in the Bronze Age could have known that is if they in fact were Divinely Inspired to know that.
Of course, you're an Atheist, but I really don't give a damn about Atheists.
I'm not gonna read the human-made nonsense.
I already see a fundamental difference between you and me. You say you don't give a damn about atheists (I'm not an atheist by the way). But I care about all humans who are good people. Your statement already tells me everything I need to know about you and your beliefs and why you're not worth listening to.
Yes more babies just what we all needed, though I suppose it takes away from women needing to bear a child as a responsibility.
yipee
@Smileygirl2000 lololololololol
@Smileygirl2000 When did I say it did, perhaps you should learn to read nvm read a book.
It's unnatural and unnecessary. No one is going to use that garbage when they can get a child naturally through paid surrogacy. So the robot is a waste of time and money. It will be used for the lonely men that use sex dolls
To provide them with an artificial family sense they're incapable of being in normal , healthy relationships with expectations
I'm more afraid that girl's dolls are getting pregnant/

In the medical system we can detect if a human woman is healthy to carry her baby to term, if there’s going to be complications during her delivery, if she has fertility problems and the solutions to better her condition, also use medical science to better women’s conditions to allow more safe successful pregnancies for both the mother and her child.
Humans can get the care they need, make assessments based on the guidance of medical professionals, and achieve a positive outcome even when things look bleak to do the best options of care for her well being.
How is a robot going to keep a baby supported more than a woman?
If that robot fails at anytime for the littlest reason, the baby dies.
I have more faith in humans than robots. There are fail safes and checks, what would save the baby or fetus or what have you if this robotic nightmare stopped working?
I want to say I have said multiple opinions on robots (particularly AI and autonomous machines) and it’s no secret I value humans over machines, women included.
We could use robotics to assist humans and make everything better, but we don’t.
Its to steal art, interfere in people’s personal lives, collect data to be utilized for corporate profit or govt police state, run over pedestrians, pollute our waterways we drink and the air we breath, and replace the human experience one microchip at a time.
It’s a fascinating thought experiment because it depends on what we mean by “robots having children.”
If robots could design, build, and teach new robots without human involvement, we’d essentially have a new form of self-replicating intelligence. At that point, the “children” wouldn’t just be copies, they could inherit software, learn from their environment, and perhaps even improve on previous generations.
The benefits could be enormous. Dangerous jobs, space exploration, disaster response, and scientific research could advance much faster than they do today. A society with an aging population could also benefit from a workforce that doesn’t tire or require the same resources humans do.
But there are equally serious concerns. Who would be responsible if a robot “child” made harmful decisions? Would they have rights if they became conscious? Could they reproduce faster than humans can regulate? And if they could improve themselves, humans might struggle to keep pace technologically and economically.
Ultimately, the biggest challenge wouldn’t be the robots themselves, it would be human governance. Every transformative technology, from the printing press to the internet to AI, has brought both incredible opportunities and significant risks. Self-replicating intelligent robots would likely be the most profound technological shift in history, so ensuring they align with human values and remain under appropriate oversight would be critical.
Whether that future becomes a utopia or a dystopia would probably depend less on the robots, and more on the choices humans make before they ever get that capability.
You'd end up with Cylons. Robots would have children a lot faster than humans ever could. They can bolt a child together i a shed in a few hours or less. It wouldn't even be a child. Switch it on and it knows everything the parent knows. It's an entirely different entity with different rules.
In the ‘80s and early ‘90s we had lots of jokes and bits about “test tube babies”. I am verily looking forward to the jokes about kids born from artificial wombs. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
At that point we might just as well have aliens from outer space visiting us!
I don't get China's obsession with robots and automation. Its not like they have a labor shortage or anything.
Anyways, Robots that reproduce in their own would probably spell doom for humanity. Sure its all "The science of it" now but next thing you know we're all human batteries.
Society will breed only for a singular purpose.
There will be no sex, no love, no actual purpose to live.
Also it will be only accessable to the rich.
And rich will use that as a way to manufacture slaves.
Removing the poor class citizens altogether together.
Also there will be a war who are born naturally and born by bots for human rights.
that is really cool.! except of all places china? i heard thailand does surrogate womb? this would be good competition and avoid deals: done based on desperate poverty. sounds really good to me!
China always highly exaggerates their tech capabilities. But to answer the question, that is a horrific dystopia that no one wants to live in. Imagine orphans but they are owned by the government. Yikes.
Is this the latest version of their sex robots?
What are robots not gonna do.
I heard of that a few years back of robot carrying a pregnancy to term.
by the time that's even plausible... we'll have forgotten about the world today
it will be a different world... not this one
so, the future... would not affect the past
So just robot babies running around? 🤨
Surrogacy, I certainly understand it. Robots though, even if that was possible I’m not quite sure why we have to resort to that.
They may be designed to BUILD a little robot but it won't grow on its own and it will not be their kid.
Robots as human incubators are 100% possible, but we don't yet know or understand what are the ramifications of it!
Why stop at pregnancy? We should also focus on making the human body itself last even longer, better life spans, reduce diseases and illnesses. Hell let's do it all I'm for it.
Robots cannot have children and i don't like the thought of it!
The concept really doesn't seem to apply because most of a robot is inorganic and can't grow.
Basically an artificial womb? Makes me uneasy somehow.
We first need to start having sex with them h before that happens. Think we are a long way off from that
Yes, yes I do. But I prefer humans. Lol
That would probably be my only chance to be a dad.
I think its amazing isn't it? Robots doing all the tedious job for us, and we can focus on different areas of life..
That's a weird thing to think of
Unattractive looking men like myself who wanted to be father would finally be able to.
It would be very ridiculous. Jahahah
robots can't have children. They're not alive.
@Alredhitch what? You’re blowing my mind.
Is this a serious questions?
@Paige2006 LOL!
yup :3
That will be ridiculous
Females bear children.
@Alredhitch Created by cells from a male and a female.
@Alredhitch As I said, created by cells from a male and a female.
Do you mean surrogote uteri?
Sweet, more Trumpsters !!!
Welcome to the new earth.
Humans are an obsolete model.
Bad idea
Impossible
I don't like it 😳
Unimaginable
AI taking over.
