This guy I've liked for a really long time has started acting really odd. All year, we have gotten along really well, and although we don't really hang out outside of school besides on AIM, I would consider him to be one of my best friends. But just a few days ago, he started acting really different, almost cold towards me. I would glance around the room, and he would be staring at me, and wouldn't look away. If I sat next to him in a class, and said hi, he would practically ignore me, instead of jumping into conversation as usual. After a while, he would warm up and by the end of class, things would be better than ever, but the next day, it's the same thing. We keep on having these weird eye contact moments during class, and I just try to smile, or roll my eyes at what the teacher is saying if he catches me looking, but if I don't do anything, he just looks with a blank stare, and I get self conscious, and look away. Do you have any idea what's going on? Or what could have happened to make him act so foreign? Do you think he found out I like him, or has suspicions? Could he be acting strange because he likes me? And what should I do about eye contact? Do I just have to stop looking, or how do I return it? Helpppp! Thanks in advance guys!
If your really "best friends" you should be able to just go up to him and go "Your acting a little strange lately." Yeah he's probably gonna be taken aback and not expecting that, a little startled but he and you should get over it lol. Or a more girl-like approach would be asking "whats wrong? " Then he goes "huh? " and you Explain : " Your not talking as much as you use to to me =-\" or something on those lines.
Hmm, I guess I could just ask, but what if he found out that I like him? That could make things really awkward. Do you have any speculation as to what is going on? Thanks. - 9 months ago
