An ex-boyfriend of my best friend(they get along fabulously and don't hold any anger towards each other) came up to us while we were eating lunch and we all started talking. I do not like him at all due to his arrogance and degrading attitude towards women. Anyways He stated that he is a christian and that he hasn't had sex in two weeks. I was angry though because he was saying that he was walking in the way of God, but he was having sex. He was bragging on how he could get any girl that he wanted that he is a women magnate. Anyways, I told him that if I could wait 16+ years and not have sex then he should be able to do it too. I also said that no one that was worth it would sleep with someone like him. He just walked away and didn't say anything. I know that the society is different for boys than girls. So, was I being too harsh on him due to my dislike of his personality?
Yeah that's a bit harsh now. Obviously his arrogance provoked an angry reaction in you but you kind of went overboard. If you see him, just say sorry, that you didn't mean any harm by it but that it came out worse than you intended it or just say you were having a bad day.
You have to respect his beliefs on sex whether you think they're hypocritical or not. Live and let live. He can sleep with whoever he wants just as you can wait to have sex. Its all about different choices that we all make. I don't blame you for wanting to dent his ego but you can't insult someones character/personality which you did by saying no-one worthwhile would sleep with him. If you want to tease someone for something they did that's fine but its never a good idea to attack their character.
