The past is past how can I help him move into the future?

That's cute ''I have no interest in his past and want to be in his future''. I'm going through that something with someone right now only difference between me and you is I am that girl that hurt him. It was more of a mutual hurting . . I hurt him because I walked away from our ''situation'' and he hurt me because he never seen,how much I was hurting. I still care for him a bit , but he refuses to let the past be just that. I never forgot what happened between us,but I put it somewhat behind me I know that mistakes were made and we were both wrong , both young. With that being said the only thing I think you can do is be there 4 him. I don't know why some guys can't just leave the past in the past ,but I do know that if he doesn't come to his senses and see what a great girl you are ( eventually) he may have to b a thing of your past.
