I like the responses here. Just goes to show that not every woman is a materialistic witch. Just hoping that these women are genuine. If so, good!

I am a trucker by trade, usually out on the road for many weeks before seeing my home again. When I do get home, the last thing I want to do is any more driving than I do for my profession. I also live in a big town with public transportation so I use it often to save on fuel, pollution and money. Finally, I'm away so long, no point in paying for a car I don't get to use much. Not everyone has this situation but not having a car is a pain in regards to traveling yet a blessing on the bank account.

Well, I'm nearly 22 years old, so I would expect the guy that I'm with to have a car. I probably wouldn't see someone long term if they didn't have transportation because I'd feel taken advantage of if I had to drive to see him all of the time.

I was seeing a guy a couple months back who didn't have a car and he always helped me out by filling up my gas tank for me. But it felt kind of odd not getting picked up at my house and stuff.

Seeing that you are under 18 not having a car is completely normal to me. Like wilncrazykid said maybe nearing 25 years old a girl expects a guy to have a car. What stupid girl wouldn't date you  ,being as young as you are,because you don't have a car, unless she's using you just to look good ,because her boyfriend drives a certain car. If she really liked you for you ,she wouldn't care about a car, especially in high school.

Absolutely. I have a car. I don't be expected to be carted around by my boyfriend all the time.  And I can't stand it when a guy is in love with/overly obsessed with his car!

I think, even if you have a car, it would be wise to say you don't. If a girl loses interest over that, you'll know that she'll never stick around when the 'or worse' time comes.
