Ladies - What are the main things you would look for in a man?

I personally look for chivalry and gentlemanly gestures, like opening the doors for me, opening car doors for me, paying for the date, walking on the outside of the curb, offering me his jacket if it's cool outside, holding the umbrella over me if it's raining, and anything like that. Those little acts of kindness really score points with me.

I look for a sense of style. I cannot stand a guy who cannot dress. You should be able to match colors and wear a presentable ensemble. I'm not talking a tuxedo. Just a nice shirt, nice jeans and nice shoes. Not too much to ask.

Good hygiene, have to look like you showered, brushed your teeth, shaved, etc. Bad hygiene is a real turn off.

Okay, now for the actual date part. I love engaging conversation, asking questions back and forth, receiving answers and commenting and dissecting parts of each other's answers to gain a better understanding of who they are. I look for humor and sarcasm and with because I possess all three of those conversational skills. If you aren't funny, sarcastic or witty then it's over and done for me.

I look for chemistry to happen between us through our body language. Flirty touches, etc.

And I look for confidence. If a guy isn't confident about himself, how can I expect him to be confident with me and a possible relationship with me? No thanks.

1. appearance - he doesn't have to be hot as long as I know he looks after himself. good grooming, no BO. please dont!

2. the way he carries himself through the conversation - can he catch up with me or does he ever listen and pay attention.

3. we get along well. that's another score for a 2nd date.

4. he doesn't pull the "i forgot wallet" excuse on me!

5. gentleman and don't brag about himself alot. I hate losers like that.
